The room had a nasty smell, couldn't really make out what it was. The carpets were dirty and everything had a tried old feeling. Didn't try the free continental breakfast but it didn't look very appertising. Would not think it deserved its advertised 2 Diamond AAA rating more

This place is really dirty. The pool is used by locals and not just by hotel guests, so it's incredibly crowded. The rooms smell and the carpets are dirty. The Assistant Manager - her name is Rhonda is awful and rude. Her manager is no better. This was an awful experience. It's worth spending a little more and going elsewhere. more

Stayed one night..Price "just went up" we were told to almost double...room was suppose to be smoke free but as soon as you opened the door you could smell stale smoke (I use to smoke so I know the smell)...there was black around the heater...no screen on door so you couldn't get fresh air...continental breakfast consisted of stale donuts, tea... more

I took my partner to the Colonial for a valentine's day weekend get-away. Don't ever do it. The place is old and quite dingy. That is ok, given that the off-season rate was around 50 bucks. But there was only one towel in the room. The desk person told us they were out of towels that night. The advertised jacuzzi... more

Large room, helpful front desk, walking distance to restaurants and good price (I paid $70 dbl) are some of the reasons I would come back. Even though the reviews on Tripadvisor are predominately negative I reserved a room here because AAA gave this motel one diamond. One diamond mean that this is an OK motel - which it is. The... more

..after booking a room for two nights at this inn I read reviews that left me thinking that I had made a big mistake, wrong. When we travel we look for a clean comfortable place to sleep...we do not travel to sit in rooms admiring the amenities. This room was clean, comfortable and quiet.....lots of room...the staff was friendly...it was... more

From the very first minute that I walked into the lobby I should have realized that this was a mistake. The carpeting was old, dirty and sort of mixmatched. Well, we had traveled quite a distance and we were tired so we took the room that we had reserved. This was about 3 in the afternoon. We decided to use... more

Where do I start. We called this hotel to see if we could get a better rate than Expedia. It turned out to be like $20.00 more if we didn't book online. So, with that said, we booked online and was looking forward to our trip home driving from Ontario through New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and then Bangor and... more

I just returned from a summer vacation to Acadia National Park. Not knowing the area I wanted something near the park, but affordable. This hotels web site sounded nice, but in reality it was an outdated 70's motorhotel. While the rate of 89.00 was affordable, the entire experience was awful and not relaxing. The room was so dark and dingy,... more

Wow, what a place, We stopped in midweek during our Honeymoon. We were on a budget, but not desperate for someplace as old and outdated as this. When we first walked into the unit I instantly thought I was transported back to the seventies, play some bombichabombom music, add some shag carpet and you have something out of a bad... more
