Just returned from a couple of days staying at the Georgetown Island Guest House and can do nothing but sing the praises of the place.
Let me begin by describing the house. It’s an old Victorian house, built in 1895, beautifully restored by the owner, Deb LaChapelle. Deb has lots of experience in old houses, having restored homes in Mexico and Arizona and she is incredibly talented and truly an artist. The house is filled with furniture and artifacts from Mexico, the West, and New England and it is a delight to spend time in the house, discovering the many treasures in it. On a more practical side, it’s a large house, with four bedrooms and three full baths. There’s plenty of space in it for a large family or group. We were a group of three adults and two children and we all had plenty of space and privacy.
