Very nice place - romantic and unique with an incredible potential. If you don´t expect state-of -the-art hotel amneties but instead an inspiring and somewhat melancholic environment in a breathtaking setting, then this is your place - in principle. The experience is completely wasted, though, by a high-price attitude for a low-price product. Compare rates to the most expensive prices... more

I searched for the "perfect" bed and breakfast from Boston to Bar Harbor for our recent anniversary trip and never could find one that i could afford that had the view i wanted. I imagined Maine as a cliff overlooking a beautiful ocean. We "accidentally" found that when we stumbled upon this place. It was better than anything i EVER... more

I now have given the new owners two tries and both times the gardens have weeds, peeling porch furniture, plastic plant w, poor toiletries mismatched linens and shower curtains, weak breakfast and an00 a night. The only thing was the view and it was magnificent. i said goodby for the last time after going there for the last of 6... more

My husband and I recently spent two days at the Grey Havens. We loved the place. The building and views are among the most stunning we have seen anywhere in the world --and we travel a lot. We got a free upgrade to the best room in the Inn (the turret room), and it was like being in a lighthouse.... more

My Wife and I were vacationing in the Georgetown area and happened upon Grey Havens. We got out of our car and headed to the Inn's wrap around porch, hoping to see if the Inn had a view. As we rounded the corner of the porch, I literally lost my breath at the view before us. I have traveled many... more

My daughter and I stayed several nights at Grey Havens and loved this grand, old house. The Inn is next to an amazing state park, although it was hard to tear ourselves away from the rocking chairs and the porch overlooking the water. The blueberry muffins were incredible and the owners friendly and kind. We loved Grey Havens and hope... more

Our stay at Gray Havens was sheer delight. The Innkeepers, Kathy and Marcus treated my family as if they were there's. Wonderful and professional. The views from the porch are astonishing. The 1 minute drive to Reid State Park, which offers breath-taking beaches also can't be beat. Grey Havens is a "must stay." more

My wife and I have just returned from a perfect Labor Day weekend at Grey Havens Inn. This is a perfectly maintained and updated inn (I think it has about 20 rooms - we were in number 18 - comfortable bed, modern bathroom). It's old Maine at its best with a long, sweeping veranda overlooking the sea and its own... more

I was delighted by my happenstance stop at the beautiful old Grey Havens. Bud, who claimed to be the lawn mower ,was the dad of Kathy the innkeeper, and they made haste to make me comfortable. I used to spend time in Five Islands in the eighties, and was so glad to realize this family was related to my old... more

We have wanted to stay at Grey Havens for many years, after seeing it pictured and described in a travel book quite a few years ago. I guess we should have gone then because it certainly isn't anything like what was pictured or described. The view is beautiful, Maine pinetreed-islands, lobster boats, etc. but once inside the inn everything changes.... more
