Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Let me first say, Lilly and her husband work understaffed and you would never know it. I love this place and the fine folks who own it. If you are a snowmobiler, you will love this place. Trails out your front door. Clean, quiet and kind is how I would describe my favorite place in Maine.

We stayed here while exploring the area. It's not the most modern, but it's clean and spacious. Nice kitchenette with a full sized fridge. Sleeping area is separate and the beds are comfortable. The area around the motel is pretty, away from the bustle of the town.

Stayed 2 nights. Staff was friendly, food was okay but very overpriced. The room we stayed in (room 3) was not worth what we payed. Door lock was difficult at best to open (still using brass door keys). Blinds were broken and wouldnt adjust & furniture was quite dated for a place that calls itself a resort. Water had very heavy iron taste to the point that I couldnt drink more than a couple sips. Cold water turned warm after 45 seconds (no backflow preventer). Light circuit breaker tripped off twice. Toilet not secured to the floor. Batteries in tv remote were dead. Pillows were hard as rocks. Rollaway bed looked like sheets were never taken off from previous user. Steps leading uo to the office and the restaurant were sanded, but snow not shoveled off and had ice on them to the point that coming from the restaurant end we walked down the hill through the snow because it was safer.

Stopped here for one night. We were warmly welcomed. Room was spacious and clean. Hotel is a little dated. Owners have a dog that is off-leash... very polite dog, respected our dog's boundaries. Ordered dinner from the restaurant on site, the food was hot and fresh. Great location for exploring the Moosehead region. Had a small cooking range, refrigerator, and microwave in the room.

I really didn't want to give a bad review but i stayed here last season and told a friend that it was not a bad place to stay. Room could have been cleaner and heating system seem to struggle. Bathroom definitely could have been cleaner, restaraunt was ok. This year 2020 a friend asked about Leisure Life and I told him about last year. it was a good stopping point for him and his wife. Turned out to be the worst part of there trip. Room could have been cleaner, wasn't sure if the sheets had been changed, room NEVER came up to a comfortable temperature, bathroom seemed like it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned and restaurant was ok at best. I've done several trips with this friend so I very much trust his word on this place! So I decided enough is enough and I'm NOT recommending this place that is expecting more then the issues that I wrote about.

The rooms were nice, beds were comfortable and the restaurant had very good food and service. The only problem was at the snowmobile capital of Maine there were no snowmobile maps or any signs to direct us to the main snowmobile trail.

Nice people, nice accommodations. We have stayed here in the past and we will stay here in the future. The accommodations are a little dated but clean and comfortable. Nice efficiency rooms. You can choose to eat in or like we did go to their restaraunt for a great meal. They are pet friendly and have a great area to walk you dog. Don't forget to pet Echo while you are there, he is a very friendly Golden Retriever who likes to visit you during your stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights because we wanted to do an early morning moose tour in the area. Hotel is older but comfortable. There is a kitchen so you could cook some meals here, but we chose to eat out. Short drive into Greenville for activities and dining. There is also a restaurant/bar onsite.
