9/21 to 9/26 in 2009 - Traveled to Greenville, Maine because we had read that moose outnumber people here by three to one. Whether or not this is true, I couldn't say, but we did see 5 moose during our trip of 5 days. We stayed at Wilson Pond Camps in a cabin (Rum Pond Lodge) on the water's edge, overlooking Lower Wilson Pond. The cabin was clean and well kept, with electric heat, plumbing, stove and refrig, and hot running water for showers. This is an excellent resort owned by Bob and Martine Young who are wonderful hosts. I would recommend this resort to travelers to this area. Their son, Chris Young, provides professional guiding services - among them moose and wildlife photographic safaris which we participated in. Chris is a very nice young man and knowledgable of moose habits and habitat.
