This place is a pathetic joke. I presume that by the time anyone sees this review it may be unnecessary as it's hard to believe the place will be open much longer. My husband and I stayed here for two nights as part of a trip through Maine. It was by far the worst place we stayed on our trip. The room was small and every flat surface was covered in knick knacks. There was nowhere to set a book or a glass of water. The tables and lamps were so rickety... more

Best affordable place at Moosehead Lake. Close to great places to eat. Brand new innkeepers. They were very pleasant & eager to please. Room & decor were OK. Each year after our vacation, we rate our experiences, such as 'best dinner, best sightseeing, etc.' The Pleasant Street Inn won the unanimous vote for Best Hospitality this year. Our stay at the Pleasant Street Inn was fantastic. We stayed in room 5 with a private bath. The room was large and cozy with everything you need. Clean and comfortable. This Inn is within walking distance of everything in town. It is within easy driving distance of hiking, swimming, moose watching, etc. You won't go wrong here and the breakfast is fabulous. more
