Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband and I stayed at the Covered Bridge Motel for one week in August 2022. Our room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The air conditioner was older, but worked well, especially given that the weather was extremely hot during our stay. The bathroom was clean, the proprietor changed the towels regularly and the shower flow was strong. The room was equipped with a small refrigerator and microwave, which helped us keep our food costs down. Our room was on the inside of the building, but we heard no noise from the other patrons. In fact, though located on a busy street, we heard no noises from traffic. All in all, I would recommend the Covered Bridge Motel to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, comfortable and affordable place to stay.

If I could use a -1 rating it would be appropriate for this dump. We were told there was a bathtub and a queen size bed, None of the above. Worst night I’ve ever had. Walked through the door and the bed looked like the flood of 1987 had just gone through the room. No other choice but to stay there. Don’t take a chance!

I don't have a record that you were even here. We do have bathtubs and 2 double beds in each room and would never say we had a queen size bed. I think that you have reviewed the wrong motel. We have been totally full and not sure when you would have been here. Very confused about this review!!!! Please call me!!!!!

Stopped here on a motorcycle trip through Maine. Rooms were clean and comfortable, if a bit dated. Very affordable. Great location for heading just about any direction in Maine. Very friendly people. It's not the Ritz, but good for the price. If you're looking for something fancy, this is not it. If you need a clean, convenient place to crash the night, this may fit the bill. Check out the covered bridge nearby.

I paid a month in advance only stayed 2 days. I spoke to the owner who promised me a refund that I've never received. The room was very small outdated. There's no restaurant on site. Would not recommend not stay here again.

You arrived at 4 am in the morning and did not even let me know you were leaving. I told you a refund was coming and that you would be charged a daily rate....5 days plus there is a 48 hour cancellation policy so you would be charged for 7 days. Please give me a call. I dont appreciate this and just because you did not like the job at Hibbard's you left in a huff without any communication for days and you say you were here only 2 days??????????????? Call me to work this out....I dont like to be belittled !!!!

This is a great little motel. Very clean and cosy. Definitely recommend. Close to things and pretty view of covered bridge and river. The cost is also very reasonable. Loved watching the eagle on the river.

The owner is Linda is friendly and really nice hopefully If all you seek is a bed, this place is good. Other than a bed there is no Wi-Fi at all. The price is great but this place should be your very last choice. No Wi-Fi & horrible tv. Honestly without the tv & Wi-Fi this is a perfect place to sleep if all you need is a room.

When you made reservations, I told you there was no Wifi...We are in an area that does not have internet at this point. It is coming, bit the state has a 5 year plan to get it in. I am sorry you were disappointed with the TV. Yes they are not flat screen TVs...Those will go in this year but we do offer basic TV. There are at least 30 channels to chose from. We are in a location where most people hunt, fish or hike. The motel is a great place to stay when one is experiencing nature and enjoying natural resources. Thank you for staying with us...

old style double-bed room. only 8 rooms in entire motel. neighboring restaurant closed for winter. very nice owners ( ex: as I had to leave early the next day in a snow storm and they made sure parking lot was plowed out for my departure). while rooms are quiet nearby road traffic could be heard. very reasonable rates. no in-room Wi-Fi ,if this is a need it is accessible in office. as the name implies motel is beside one of Maine's covered bridges ( very beautiful in the autumn or as in my case a snowy winter day)

Kind of expensive for what we got. The walls are paper thin and traffic is heavy in the morning, so there was no sleeping in! The beds were pretty uncomfortable too. They did have Dish for tv though, that was kinda nice!

The new owner of this place is a very nice person. We really enjoyed talking with her and she went out of her way to make sure we were warm in our room. The remodel of this place changed the character and causes some problems. The bathroom is now very attractive but the window in the bathroom is covered up now and the ceiling fan cannot remove steam or odors from that room no matter how long the door is left shut. The large ac unit in the back wall would be better a big window--the traffic on the road makes it hard to open the front window except in the wee early hours of the morning. And for some reason no housekeeping was done the first day we were there but all the other nights!

I enjoyed my stay. The people are warm and welcoming. I enjoyed a short walk to the covered bridge just across the street at sunset. I captured some amazing photographs. It was an amazing experience. While being away from home I was made to feel at home. I look forward to returning when I can stay longer and enjoy everything the area has to offer. Thank you to everyone at the Covered Bridge Motel & Restaurant for making my stay so enjoyable.
