I won a 1 night, two day ski package for Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel from a local radio station. At first,my boyfriend and I were excited about this getaway, as I had been to this mountain before for day trip snowboarding. But our excitement quickly faded with our first contact with Hotel staff. We found staff to be unfriendly, un-helpful {... more

This was our first trip to Sugarloaf, after having been to Sunday River a few time we thought we should give it a try. The valet service was very good, taking all of our stuff to our rooms, skis in the locker too. The rooms, i think, have been updated recently and were warm and comfortable, nothing amazing, but perfectly... more

Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel (used to be Grand Summitt I believe) is a very nice hotel in a beautiful if isolated area of Maine. Summer is obviously very quiet, we were in the hotel with probably less than 75 people on 6 floors of space. Our room was called an alcove room on the 6th floor. Very unique room set up.... more

Please note: the Sugarloaf Grand Summit Resort Hotel is now called the Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel. Same place/new name. Clean, recently remodeled rooms and bathroom. For a hotel room it was very spacious. There was a large walk in closet that was handy for keeping suitcases out of the way. There were 2 queen beds, but since there were 4 of... more

The reason my wife and I went was due to a wedding that was being held at the resort. When we arrived we could barely see part of the mountain and there was a slight drizzle outside. With that said we still decided to check out the local hiking, as we went on a 7 mile hike on an adjacent... more

We did not stay at the Grand summit hotel but did stay at various slopeside condos during ski season. All 2&3 bedroom accomodations were good quality and close to trails. We mostly stayed in the Birchwood area and this area is in walking distance to the village and the Spa. The mountain is the best in the East when the... more

We've stayed at Sugarloaf/USA in the winter and summer. The resort's relative isolation from major cities is a god-send for those serious about getting close to a first-class mountain, run by locals who are genuinely down to earth. While predominantly known as a ski resort, Sugarloaf also has a stunningly beautiful golf course and a well-run summer kid's day camp,... more

We stayed at Sugarloaf Grand Summit Resort the last week of June. We had a loft bedroom and living area that was very clean. Sadly, the resort hasn't put a lot of effort into a summer crowd. We loved the activities planned by Mark Rorie, Master Mountain Guide. Three couples, all over the age of 50 climbed Burnt Mountain. While... more

We stayed at the sugarloaf grand summit at the end of march. The location is outstanding, the staff friendly and attentive. The restaurant was also quite good and a great value, especially for breakfast. The service in the restaurant was excellent. There were some small issues: 1) There were flies, lots of flies in the room. Apparently this happens each... more

Good clean slopeside accomodations. Nothing fancy, but better than other accomodations nearby. The rooms are clean and spacious; the mattresses are of good quality and many rooms have small refrigerators & microwaves. It's fun being right on the mountain and after a day of skiing, using the jacuzzi, steam room & sauna at the hotel. Then after a good hot... more
