My boyfriend and I stayed here at the end of last summer and had a great trip. We stayed in the first floor suite, which had a king size bed and more than enough space for the two of us on our two night stay. Getting there is really easy but once you're there, there is no front desk so... More

We decided on the Augustus Bove as Arlene was the only B&B owner in town who actually answered the phone. From first hello she was delightful. She and her husband have owned the house since 1984. Those who like a home with patina will find this one charming. The room was spacious, although my wife would have likead a tub,... More

Wonderful guests, we always enjoy people who are easy to talk to and relaxed. Wish they could stay longer but hope they will return. It is what makes our home. thank you More

I called this B&B the other day and the female owner answered. I asked her what's the name of the closest international airport and she snapped her answer at me. I also wanted to know how far of a drive it was to a city in New Hampshire from her place since we wanted to go there as well during... More

I am of course sorry that my words came across sharp or otherwise not carefull. sometimes people (innkeepers) have issues going on that get caught up in the moment. While experiencing a death in the family, it was hard to relate to this person who expected us to know where the town was in New Hampshire that she was referring... More

We couldn't have picked a better place to stay for three nights in August 2012. We were in town for a wedding at the Seeds of Peace campgrounds. When we arrived at the Bove, there was fresh cheesecake for a late evening "snack". Our kids weren't invited to the wedding ceremony or to the rehearsal dinner, so we had a... More

We spent six nights at the Augustus Bove House and we were extremely pleased with the room, the food, and especially the hosts, David & Arlene Stetson. Our room was cozy with a king size bed, spacious bathroom, and balcony. Breakfast was always delicious and the all day access to coffee was a bonus. Arlene laid out a sweet treat... More

Based on the other reviews from tripadvisor, we expected a much more pleasant stay. Our room was noisy, which must be an ongoing problem since there was a sound machine and ear plugs available for use. The bathroom wasn't that clean; we found stray hair on several of the shelves, and the towels were dingy and looked like they'd been... More

We have been very busy, although responses have been very positive so we are not sure who this was. but we do wish guests would mention any problem or dissatisfaction they have had while they are with us so that we may address the issue at hand. Although many have truly enjoyed our home we are unhappy that soneone was... More

We ended up at the Bove after reading the reviews, and so glad we did. It is a majestic 200 yr old farm house with lots of character and charm. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, pillow top mattresses were amazing! Even as great as the B&B is, the owners made our stay unbelievably perfect. Arlene and David are gracious... More

Location is right on Causeway - super convenient. The owners are wonderful and you truly feel like a treasured guest in their home. The rooms are spacious and fun to look through. Our room had a private deck, fireplace, and a king bed - all beautiful. You will not be disappointed with your stay.

In Naples, ME my wife and I were looking for a place to stay for a night and discovered "The Augustus Bove House B&B," an historic house right across the road from beautiful Long Lake. It happened to be next to the former Bartlett's Riding Academy where my wife was one of the instructors who gave horse back lessons to... More

The Augustus Bove House is a treasure....the "honeymoon suite" was spacious with its own lake view deck, kitchen, and seating areas. The house has interesting furnishings and comfortable charm throughout. Breakfasts were generous and included delicious home baked blueberry muffins along with an egg dish, bacon or sausage, fruits, juices, and choice of coffees and teas - outstanding! Hosts Arlene...
