Stayed there the week before Labor Day. Originally planned 4 days. We had reserved a studio but found it to be too dark. The owner, Mr. Dave Harris, offered us a family suite like we had some years back. There was no hassle at all. we extended our stay to a full week. Mr. Harris simply stated that if we... more

I made a reservation by phone, cheapest price I've founded 99 $ /night with breakfast. We where at 10 minutes walk from the beach and in the center of the great marginal way to make walk. The room was not so large, but it was ok. I've been there for 7 days, and people of the hotel was very friendly.... more

We stayed at the Colonial Inn many, many times over the last 20+ years, but it got to the point where the reasons we kept coming back, no longer existed. We used to enjoy the simplicity, cleanliness, service and charm of the old hotel. And the rates were always some of the most reasonable in town..... especially for a place... more

I am taking the time to write this review of The Colonial, because I had read several before our trip and wanted to add our expereince to the mix, and I truly feel the staff at The Colonial need to know what they are doing right. My husband and I have been vacationing in Ogunquit for five years. Each year,... more

I have been staying at the Colonial on and off for nearly 20 years. This is the first year I was disappointed; it is also the first time I stayed in the original hotel. Over the years this 120 year hotel has evolved, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. Rooms in the main hotel - that is, the... more

My friends and I stayed at this overpriced hotel that Has the same Curtains up that my grandmother had in ther 50's. We were never notified of the rules and regulations of the hotel. We checked out and got nothing but an attitude from the front desk person and manger. $660 spent on two nights stay and No respect. Not... more

I have read some of these reviews and I don't know what the fuss is all about. I had a great experience there. The trolly stop is right out front. You can walk down to see some great beach views. Let's face it. The place is a little less expensive but if you need a bed, a shower, and a... more

Booked this hotel by mistake, wanted the other Colonial on Route 1, got mixed up between the two (unfortunately). Great exterior and location but service and interior are terrible. Rooms are terribly old and small, bathroom had been installed in closet, shampoo bottles had been reused (label had been peeled off carefully and bottles refilled), supposedly heated pool must have... more

My husband and I stayed at the Colonial Inn for one night. I booked directly with the hotel. The location is perfect, right by the beginning of the Marginal Way that goes all the way to Perkins Cove and by a bunch of restaurants and shops. You absolutely cannot beat the location. The hotel, however, is old and shows it.... more

My husband, 3 y/o son and myself stayed here the last weekend in July. This hotel was perfect. The only thing we didn't like was that there was no mini fridge in the room, which we already knew about when we had booked. We just stocked our cooler with ice and kept our drinks in there. The room was very... more
