We stayed here on a family reunion (13 people). We stayed on the lower level where our rooms opened to a large yard-like area overlooking an inlet. The kids played catch while the parents and grandparents visited on the patio and drank cool beverages. The pool was up the stairs and around the corner, and an excellent feature for the... more

We stayed at the Ogunquit River Plantation for a wedding, August 10-12, 2007. We booked the hotel room for a couple reasons - it was one of the few places that didn't require a 3+ night minimum stay, and the price wasn't through the roof. Overall, the experience was average, but we wouldn't stay there again if we could help... more

I want this hotel's photographer because the place looked nothing like the photos of it on the website. The rooms were old and were in desperate need of updating. We had a "patio" level room, which meant we had to take all of our luggage down a slippery flight of stairs, a gravel hill, through a 6 inch deep puddle... more

We were very pleased with the friendly, helpful staff. The room was very large and clean. The breakfast was excellent, including waffles, hard boiled eggs, cold cereal, yogurt, bananas, toast, sweets, etc. It seems that the least expensive rooms have the most stairs to climb. It didn't bother us at all. We'd stay here again. more

The airconditioner was malfunctioning and rattled and clanged all night. The curtains let in the early sunlight and woke us up at 6 AM. We slept badly. The bathroom had a musty smell. The room was at the bottom of three flights of stairs which made it difficult to move luggage. There were no highchairs in the dining area. The... more

We just returned from a three night stay at the plantation. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable, modern and spacious and a great view from the deck. we were lucky not to have any neighbors in adjoining rooms so it felt very private. Pool and jacuzzi wonderful and we met some very nice travelers (They all seemed... more

The view from the property was unbelievable. The balconies overlook the river and the marsh. We watched kayakers go out from the property. The breakfast was great. The people who worked there were very nice and pleasant. We were looking for a quiet getaway and we loved it. The pool overlooks the property.I would highly recommend this. more

Overall, you can't beat the price at this Ogunquit hotel. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, continental breakfast was nice, and it was suitable for our needs. However, the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge entrance is a ways away, and the distance to downtown (Marginal Way, etc.) is pretty far. There are more luxurious places to stay in Ogunquit... more

Just came back from two nights at the Plantation and disliked the place immensely. Don't go here if you have any difficulty walking up steep hills. The rooms are like caves with only one way in - the sliding glass door. This door is the only source of light and fresh air. But you have to keep the door drapes... more

We spent 3 nights at the Ogunquit Plantation in July 05. We got the AAA rate of $129/night which is not a bad rate considering most other hotels in Ogunquit are around $190+. We had 2 queen size bed room with a window facing the Ogunquit River. The room is pretty much standard fare w/ tv, a/c, small fridge and... more
