Have graduated 2 sons and have a daughter at U maine. Have stayed in many hotels in the Bangor/Orono area over the last 9 years. Second floor riverside has balconies and best view all 4 seasons. This is a great little place, very clean, very comfortable, perfect for business or pleasure. I enjoyed the breakfast - which included cereal, oatmeal, 3 juice selections and bagels and enlish muffins. The rooms were okay except for a terrible urine smell that we couldn't get rid of, and the stains on the towels. Other than that, it was passable - fairly comfortable beds, spacious, very old but functional bathroom. The free breakfast and wireless is nice, though we had problems with the wireless in certain parts of the room. more

We stayed 3 nights over Labor Day weekend. The property is attracive, if dated. Beautiful pool, nice view of river. The free continental breakfast saved us $$ every morning. We walked into town every day, which was very enjoyable. The staff were friendly & always helpful. We definately would stay there again. more
