Since my business meeting was at the Eastland I decided to stay directly at the hotel ... the pics on the web site looked great. When will I learn. Anyway, this hotel was built in the early 1900's. It obviously has gone thru many renovations over the years. Overall the hotel is just not taken care of. The hotel has... more

We stayed at this hotel thinking it was close to everything and it was an historical hotel. Well, it is a good location for historical sightseeing but a longer walk than I thought to get to the waterfront area. We felt that the area by the hotel was "shady" at night not feeling comfortable to walk after 8P.M. The smell... more

First, the good aspects of Eastland Park... It is well-located, the lobby is beautiful (lulls you into a false sense of old-world opulence, till you see the rooms!), and the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The rooftop lounge has a lovely view of the port. The biggest problem we found was with housekeeping. The place is pretty dirty,... more

This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. We arrived at 4:30 for check in and were told our room wasn't ready yet, even though their check in time was 3:30. We were told they would call us when our room was ready and it would probably be around 45 minutes. No call, so we went to the desk... more

The hotel staff was really nice and they upgraded us to a suite when we arrived. They also gave us breakfast vouchers for all 4 mornings we would be there, plus a whole bunch of drink vouchers for their lounge upstairs. I guess I was expecting a little more room-wise, for the price we paid. The rooms weren't updated at... more

The hotel looks amazing when we walked in, lovely lobby, nice staff. The hallway to the rooms looked shabby, but nothing like the room. In the bathroom there was a hole about three inches round in the bathroom. While looking out the window to see the view, i looked up and saw black and pink mold all along the top... more

The lobby was very nice, the checkin went smoothly, and the room was pretty nice, the bed was really comfy and we had... more

My husband and I were very excited to stay at the Eastland because of its proximity to everything. The pictures on line were of nice comfy rooms and a wonderful charming historic hotel. Upon arrival (after driving all night and being up for 36 hours b/c of our one year old) we arrived. I kept my hopes up upon entering... more

I stayed at this hotel because I was attending a wedding -- ceremony and reception were on site. The wedding and reception were done beautifully. Our room was nice. We loved the historical aspect of the property. Don't know why the reviews we read were not good -- it is not a new Hilton or Marriott, it's a historical hotel.... more
