Cute inn--quiet street. Living/downstairs area very comfortable with big windows and nice vibe-more like you are at someone's home instead of feeling uptight and whispering like many b&b's make you feel. What a cool place - definitely not your typical New England Inn. This place looked fun, but didn't sacrifice comfort or cleanliness. Despite the freezing temperatures, the room was nice and warm. Room 8 had a terrific fireplace and comfortable bed. Breakfast was tasty and unconventional. My only negative is that we never saw the innkeeper. more

from my own search i uncovered the pomegranate inn for a last minute dash to portland. peter was terrific. he was cooperative and accommodating while securing a room for us. saul the chef created very thoughtful breakfasts and both were quick to satisfy any of our needs. many of the guests were likewise very personable and equally enjoyed the accomodations.... more

We had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Pomegranate Inn in December. The inn was so beautifully decorated for Christmas - so festive. The staff was welcoming and warm but did not smother us. We stayed in Room 8. It was large, with a king sized bed, fireplace, sitting room. The bed was comfortable. Our check-in was great. We got there a little early and were immediately checked in and shown to our room. It was lovely. Breakfast was really great. Tea was served as it should be. China pot with real loose tea.... more
