Finding a room in Portland on camp visiting weekend is like hitting the lottery (well, almost). We were tired of paying ludicrous prices for rooms that on any other weekend would be $120.00, so when a friend suggested the Pomegranate Inn, I zoomed over. Luckily, two sets of parents had "graduated" and did not have children returning to camp. I quickly... more

This is a wonderful B&B in Portland, Maine. The B&B is not perfect, but I give five stars based on overall experience. The inn itself is located in Portland's older West End neighborhood, amidst many other old beautiful houses. The interior is a real treat. The decor is an eclectic mix of traditional pieces, Oriental antiques, and mostly modern artwork... more

Just lovely! Me and my husband stayed at Pomegranate Inn for our first anniversary. We stayed in room 6 and I was very impressed. The room is much, much better than in the picture of the hotel website and perfect for a romantic gateway. The room and all the common living rooms are very nice and the owners pay attention... more

My wife and I have stayed at many places in Portland, which is a city bereft of any really great hotels. It's very hard to find a decent place to stay, which is amazing considering the number of tourists that come to this city. The inn is in a residential street, somewhat out of the main drag, which makes it... more

Cute inn--quiet street. Living/downstairs area very comfortable with big windows and nice vibe-more like you are at someone's home instead of feeling uptight and whispering like many b&b's make you feel. Our room was small but very cozy. The decor is fun and works. Little things could be improved on---first being they need to replace the carpeting on the stairs.... more

First, I want to thank you for taking the time to write in, I often use TripAdvisor personally for travel and the reviews are very helpful to me. Second, I want to apologize for the lack of attention that you found on your trip. You are absolutely right about the carpet runner, the new one is on order and I...

What a cool place - definitely not your typical New England Inn. This place looked fun, but didn't sacrifice comfort or cleanliness. Despite the freezing temperatures, the room was nice and warm. Room 8 had a terrific fireplace and comfortable bed. Breakfast was tasty and unconventional. My only negative is that we never saw the innkeeper. more

We just returned from a wonderful weekend at this inn. It is definitely not for people who like the cookie cutter sameness of the chain hotels. If you're looking for the unusual, it is a gorgeous, funky inn with art and interesting furnishings everywhere. There are a number of cozy common areas, perfect for congregating in the evening. There is a... more

We had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Pomegranate Inn in December. The inn was so beautifully decorated for Christmas - so festive. The staff was welcoming and warm but did not smother us. The art collection here is beyond description, there is a new owner who is adding more to the already impressive collection - highlighting Maine artists.... more

We stayed in Room 8. It was large, with a king sized bed, fireplace, sitting room. The bed was comfortable. Our check-in was great. We got there a little early and were immediately checked in and shown to our room. It was lovely. Breakfast was really great. Tea was served as it should be. China pot with real loose tea.... more
