spent one night in rangeley when we toured Maine for 3 weeks. the hotel is closed in October but we were given a choice of the lake side rooms. we chose the dearest as it had lake view, wood stove in the bedroom & a Jacuzzi bath for 2 with over head shower, so a bit of luxury for one... more

I've stayed at the inn approx 5 times and always in the motor lodge rooms on the edge of the lake .These rooms are nothing more than ordinary but very adequate and inlike the inn itself are on the edge of the lake so when you wake up in the morning and pull the curtains open its a fabulous view.I've... more

We booked a room at the inn and upon arrival found ( with no apology ) we had been reassigned to the motel. No mention was made for reducing our rate or of another alternative place to stay. An " I'm sorry " would have been nice. more

A beautiful old inn, lovely lobby, good food; but SNOWMOBILES loudly revving their engines at 11 PM,, midnight, as late as 1 AM. They came off the lake right past our room, stopped, yelled loudly at each other, then revved up a few more times. This was repeated several more times.Even though I did wear earplugs I could still hear... more

I stayed over at the Rangeley Inn for one night for a weekend ski trip. We skied Saddleback Mountain and the hotel was a great choice, good location, near the mountain. It is like a big Victorian house. The room was very spacious, well appointed. There is a restaurant/bar in the hotel called the Tavern. Good food, service was a... more

Yep, a creepy crawly bedbug rolling around on the sheets greeted us. If you like dusty antique furniture, insects, noise from the nearby bar, and absence of scenery, this is right up your alley. Not much to see or do in Rangeley, save boating, so if you're looking for culture, quaintness, and ecological beauty, head to the coast. more

The Rangeley Inn dates back to the early part of last century. It does have charm.... old creaking floorboards and hallways running at odd angles. Our room in the main hotel was very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were not very knowledgeable about some questions we had. We were disappointed in that we had planned to use a... more

Last October my wife and I stayed at the Rangeley Inn while touring around seeing the foliage. The Inn itself was full but their adjacent motel-like building had a vacancy. The room faced a beautiful pond, had a porch, and was very comfortable and fairly priced. Some have hot tubs. The Inn itself is ancient and very welcoming, fine dining... more
