My wife and I made plans for a New England visit with the Lobster Fest as a part of the trip. We booked Ripples Inn several months ahead because of its location very near the festival. Less than 2 weeks before our stay the owner sent us an email stating that she had family coming unexpectantly and would not have... more

I just returned from my fifth stay at the Ripples Inn at the Harbor. I've visited in the winter, spring, summer, and fall, and ALL seasons are spectacular there. Summer temperatures are most often mild, with only the occassional super hot day, making air conditioning unnecessary. In the winter, cozy up to the stove/fireplace in the parlor and enjoy a... more

Stayed two nights Sep 2008. Two rooms, ‘Zen’ and ‘Poet’ for four of us. Chosen because there was a website reference to it being a ‘quiet location’—which turned out to be almost correct. Pleasant Street, where the Inn is located, can be used as a short-cut from the US 1 to Main Street Route 73. It is immediately opposite the... more

The ripples inn is a really nice, comfortable and fairly priced bed and breakfast. From the moment we walked through the front door we felt as though we were at home. The owner is a wonderful women and has done amazing renovations. Every morning the breakfasts she made were enough to keep you going for the day. The inn is... more

My 5 day stay at The Ripples Inn, was simply fabulous. Besides the gorgeous renovations the owner has performed, the location of this seemingly perfect victorian is great. All shops and points of interest are within walking distance. The dishes of which the homeowner prepared for myself and the other guests were fabulous. Gorgeous views, clean as a whistle and... more

What a lovely location! You can walk everywhere from this renovated Victorian -- just a few blocks in one direction is the harbor. Go the other way and you are entering the downtown area with the Farnsworth Museum and the Wyeth Center, and wonderful restaurants from Italian restaurants, lobster shacks to seafood specialists... The famous Primo gourmet restaurant is nearby,... more

Yup, seasoned travelers but first time in a B&B. The experience was wonderful. Only complaint was no chairs in our room as it was small, but there were 2 public rooms one with a PC and TV. Bed, very comfortable, good shower, very nice decorating, great location, food for breakfast was wonderful and the owner made our stay very pleasant.... more

This was a last minute reservation. We had difficulty finding information about this B&B because it is so new. The property was formerly known as the Lathrop House. The new owner has completely gutted the house and rebuilt it. This was the nicest decorated and overall attractive location we stayed. Everything is very new (they recycled very little of the... more
