Right in the heart of downtown Rockland , Maine within walking distance to everything this vibrant downtown has to offer, we found this hidden jewel. From the well appointed, period decorated rooms to having a wonderful homemade breakfast on the garden patio, all was wonderful. more

The Capt. Lindsey House Inn was wonderfully staffed and beautifully decorated. The rooms are sophistificated and ever so confortable. The breakfast was delicious and varied. Being right downtown allowed us to take advantage of museums, stores and the harbor without needing to use our car. My partner visited Rockland during November, when it was fairly quiet. The Captain Lindsey House met our expectations for a traditional B&B/inn. We especially appreciated its convenient location. We spent two nights here and were very pleased with the service, accomodations and breakfast. Ellen and Ken couln't do enough to make us comfortable. Just returned from a week in Maine where we spent two nights at the Capt. Lindsey Inn. From the minute we walked in the front door, we felt right at home. The Innkeepers were great, the breakfast was wonderful, as were the accommodations. Absolutely loved the homemade granola. Would definitely stay there again. more
