We just returned from vacationing at Samoset July 28-August 1st. Great location, great golf and fabulous staff! The views of the ocean and golf course were amazing..... We took a boat cruise out of Rockport on the 'Morning in Maine' and it was wonderful. The weather, boat and the crew made it extra special too! The rooms are larger than... more

The Samoset Resort is a great oceanfront resort in Rockport, Maine. It's convenient to all the attractions of Penobscot Bay and offers all the amenities of a major resort - restaurants, health club, gift shop, golf, etc. The rooms could use some updating but overall it's a great place to stay if you're visiting this part of Maine. more

I enjoyed my stay at Samoset. The golf was excellent, the food was disappointing, the service was very good. The room was clean but could have been taken care of better (screen door off track, bathtub fawcett broken, air conditioner loud. more

We had such a great time here! I was a little nervous, because of some of the reviews posted. But I made sure that we were on one of the renovated floors when I booked the room and again when I checked in. The room was well appointed. The balcony was small, but had a wonderful view. It is true,... more

We arrived early after staying the night in Boothbay. Our tee time was 1p, because we wanted to have the time to arrive and let the fog dissipate. That worked out because the fog did leave around 1:30 after long rains, and it got very hot. The course is very challenging (I'm a 13 Hcp) and lost a dozen balls... more

We stood at the Samoset resort as an RCI exchange. It is one of the nicest resorts in the area with a beautiful view of Penebscot Bay (if the fog is not in). We had a one bedroom with family room unit in the timeshare building. All of the rooms have a view of the bay/ocean. The room was smaller... more

We stayed at the Samoset Resort last week and had a great time. The room was lovely - it had a beautiful balcony overlooking the ocean. We booked the room plus breakfast rate which really worked out well for us. We didn't have to worry about where to go for breakfast everyday and breakfast at the samoset isn't cheap. One... more

My best friend and I decided to take a short vacation to a place within reasonable driving distance. Being from Connecticut, we tend to travel south for some warmth during the cold months. However, we decided to visit Maine and stayed at the Samoset Resort. The lobby had a rustic feel and was beautiful. We were greeted by Diane who... more

My son and decided we want a little getaway and decided to stay at this property. Being a member of the travel community, I have high expectations and this resort did not let me down. From the beauty of the rustic lobby to the comfortable rooms to the view from our balcony, all my expectations were met. I toured the... more

We just returned from a midwinter weekend at the Samoset Resort. We took advantage of their special which includes a room for two and dinner at Marcel's. The price is $198. We first visited the Resort in the mid 90's. The rooms were nice but somewhat "rustic". The hotel and its rooms have undergone a major upgrade since. The rooms... more
