The inn is tastefully decorated, the staff were great, It is now under new ownership and many updated changes have been made. Would stay again, only wish it were longer for our last stay. more

We were visiting in Maine and found the Oakwood Inn was opened for the season early. They are under new ownership and will be opened for a longer season. It is located in the heart of Sanford Maine. We truly enjoyed our stay at the Oakwood Inn. The Owner was pleasant and very accomodating. The room we stayed in was the Katherine Hepburn room (apparently the actress stayed in this room when she visited Sanford). Accomodations were very clean and room tastefully decorated. My room had a tin ceiling and gorgeous fireplace. I certainly plan on returning. more
