Stayed at the Marriott in Scarborough. Very nice, a great value. Breakfast was more than ample. dinner was also served, although we did not partake. Staff very very helpful. Portland is a great city to "hang out" had a great time. Second trip. Played golf, and did the mecca to Freeport. Just a cool trip more

I'm writing primarily to warn potential guests that this property backs up to Interstate 95. If you get a room facing the Interstate, you will experience heavy traffic noise. Overall, a mediocre stay. I am a big fan of the Residence Inn chain, especially the suite option when traveling with our toddler. The hotel seemed dated to other Residence Inns that I have stayed in, with thin walls, noisy floors, and a dated kitchen. Pool heater was broken, leaving the water cold. Stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite with full kitchen while college-hunting with my son. Super clean, great bathrooms next to the Maine Mall with several eating / shopping options. I would definitely stay here again. One note: there is highway noise from the Maine Turnpike- but it didn't bother us one bit! more
