We found Watchtide by the Sea on B&B.com. We had a great time. There are new owners who are gradually updating the very large building. The sun porch, a large, sunny room where breakfast is served, was wonderful--furnished with a variety of chairs, sofas, and a wicker lounge that was my favorite. I could sit there, look out at an... more

The hostess was gracious and well informed. The breakfast in the sunroom was a treat every morning. Always delicious and beautifully presented. The rooms were clean and were as advertised. The view from our room was beautiful and peaceful. My wife and I were tickled with our choice. Nancy Linn was a fantastic host. Every restaurant the hostess suggested was... more

After calling another Searsport B&B who advertises "everyone is welcome" but then quickly told me that my one year old was certainly not welcome (is she not included in "everyone?")I called Watchide and asked if there was an appropriate room to bring a baby to visit and the delightful woman on the phone replied with excitement that there was indeed... more

During our recent trip to New England, we found our three night stay at the Watchtide to be delightful. Nancy-Linn was very gracious and hospitable, and more than willing to provide sight seeing assistance. The breakfasts were very tasty, and she made us very comfortable when using the "common areas". Her collection of antiques and curios were most interesting. We truly... more

My husband and I found the Watchtide about eight years ago online; we stayed for a weekend. . .and fell head over heels in love with its charms and its hostess!! Since that time we've been back yearly, and in 2001 we married in the town of Searsport and had our reception at the Watchtide. It was a perfect weekend!!!... more

My husband and I chose this inn based on the fact that at the time, it was one of the few in the area that claimed to have air conditioning. Ha! We had this tiny air conditioner in our room, which did not cool the room off at all. Furthermore, the bathroom was grossly outdated, without the benefit of any... more

Nancy-Lynn was the most wonderful, lively host. Her B&B was as warm and cheerful as can be. We met several other guests and enjoyed their company, at breakfast and relaxing on the pourch in the evening. May I mention that her breakfasts where a great start for the day. My wife and I would consider a return trip if in... more

I personally stayed at Watchide for the first time this summer. My parents had stayed there a couple of summers ago and based on how they raved, I had high expectations for my visit. Nancy and her lovely home surpassed every one of them. Form the moment we walked in the door she treated us like we were long lost... more

The Watch Tide is very charming. It is also very old. If you like old and charming and lots of anitques and a lovely setting from the sunporch this is for you. There was antique wicker furniture on the porch and a family room with an overstuffed sofa. The Inn is very casual and every one in the Inn seemed... more

My partner and I stayed at/in and around the Eleanor Roosevelt Suit. We were awestruck by the sheer size of the 100-gal bathtub jacuzzi combo and delighted with our incredibly comfortable king-sized bed. The room's charm and warmth provided a sense of welcome and security as only felt in the most hospitible of places. There was a magnificent view of... more
