I stayed at the Pinewood Motel for several months after I initially went to Maine. I wasn't sure what I was in for as I had never been to the Skowhegan area before. But, I was pleasantly surprised by the accomodations I received at the Pinewood Motel. I would highly recommend this motel to anyone who wants to feel like they are "amongst friends". The owners are a very friendly,helpful couple who know how to treat people of all backgrounds. My room was a lovely room with a small kitchenette and bathroom. The kitchenette proved to be very useful; with its hotplate, microwave oven and little refrigerator and toaster; the only thing I had to supply was my own crockpot and george foreman grill. I have since stayed at the motel on a weekend basis in smaller rooms and still feel that it is the nicest, cleanest and friendliest place I have ever stayed. more
