If you are a business traveler, the current construction doesn't really change the quality or service of the hotel. The construction occurs between 7 am and 4 pm and they do honestly stick to that. I had a brand new room (the shower curtain appeared to be straight out of the package - I may have been the first one... more

I preface this review by saying that the Sable Oaks Marriott has a large sign upon entering the makeshift lobby that says "Pardon our appearance as we work to better serve you" or something along those lines. Having said that, they would be better off to just shut down the hotel for a week or two and get the job... more

We chose to stay at the Marriott Sable Oaks because usually we enjoy the service and overall quality Marriott provides. However, the Sable Oaks experience was exceptionally bad. There were few quests but everyone seemed to be cluped together in the same area. The walls are paper thin with the wall paper peeling off in many place. There was food... more

Stayed overnight for Tourism convention. I called on my way from Boston to ask for directions, but the front desk simply told me to get off at exit 44 and follow the road. There are a ton of ways to go once you get off at exit 44, so this was not helpful. The room was small, but OK. Water... more

I stayed for one night on my way from Connecticut to Acadia. Due to horrendous traffic I arrived very late (midnight) and was exhausted. I didn't get to experience much of the hotel's delights, but the bed was AMAZING! It was so comfortable and being so tired, I really appreciated it. I ordered breakfast through the tag you put on... more

Terrible place to stay. Although they have gone non-smoking, they did nothing to get the stale cigarette odor out of the hallway and rooms. The front desk clerk put us in a room that had not been cleaned. When I told her this, she said no, that was wrong, because her computer told her so. She put us in another... more

From the minute we arrived, all the staff we encountered were very friendly, they must stress greeting guests, because we were greeted by every single staff member we saw. The common areas of the hotel are what you would expect of a Marriott. The guest room we stayed in, room 533, was a bit smaller than what you would expect.... more

The location of this Marriott is very good, minutes from Old Port and seconds from the Miane Mall; 30 minutes to Kittery and 20 minutes to Freeport. The restaurant is very good - offering a variety for dinner, and a very good breakfast. The rooms are very loud. For reference, I am not a light sleeper. You can hear everything... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here Labor Day wkd. We enjoyed it. The property itself has a great location and a relaxing feel despite the hustle and bustle of South Portland. The location is perfect- the Maine Mall is right down the street as well as many other stores/ restaurants. Downtown Portland is about ten minutes away- Old seaport, all... more
