The house is indeed a beautiful 19th century building, but the website does not indicate that it is across the street from an ENORMOUS industrial paper mill complex. The innkeeper was very nice. He was quite accommodating especially when he upgraded my husband and I to have our own personal bathroom. Breakfast was VERY good! Its a safe place to stay. The Elms property is a hotel used by the mill that is conveniently located to Portland and Cape Elizabeth.
