Our stay was on Nov. 1, 2009. We could only stay one night but what a treat !! The home was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable. Victor was quite a host who made the best blueberry muffins we had ever had. He also treated us to perfect eggs made to order, bacon, toast, juice, yogurt, and fresh orange slices. This... more

Off season, this bed and breakfast is an incredible value. The rooms are nice, but the toiletries are very limited. The breakfast is the same every day. There is nothing special about the breakfast. However, if you want to get away off season, this inn is an incredible value. The owner is very nice and helpful. more

My husband and I have been traveling to York, Maine for the past 35 years. We have stayed at a variety of places over the years. The Bittersweet B & B was a pleasant surprise. We were greeting by a very cheerful innkeeper. He was organized and ready for our arrival. He gave us a short history of the inn... more

This was our first time at the Bittersweet Bed and Breakfast...and we have booked two additional stays. We had a wonderful experience. The owner/operators are very pleasant, kind and accommodating. Breakfast in the dining room is a wonderful convenience and a timesaver when you wish to get out and about in short order. All areas were extremely clean and fresh.... more

Bittersweet B&B is an ideal place to stay when exploring southern Maine. We just returned from our stay last Monday, and we hated to leave! The renovated farmhouse is beautiful and couldn't be more well-kept. Breakfast is great, with toast, bagels, coffee, and juice waiting on you when you get to the dining room, and fresh, hot bacon and eggs--made... more

I loved staying here - it truly felt like my home away from home! I would put on my PJ's and go lay on the sofa and watch TV in the evenings ~ where else but home would you actually do that? :) Ray and Victor are totally AWESOME ~ Victor was up every morning making sure I had my... more

It's a nice place very clean and the rooms are quite comfortable. However the breakfast is quite simple (scramble eggs and prebaked bacon) with frozen wafles. We asked for turned eggs and it was not possible which was disapointing since it's still a fairly expensive place. We are a young couple and we have a small car and there was... more

We had a great time. Victor & Ray were so accommodating to our every need. The perennials were in full bloom and the weather cooperated as well. Sitting on the front porch one evening was like visiting friends. Ray & Victor made us feel like we had been invited guests to their home. It's a great location. Outside all the... more

This is a cute B&B in a residential area, a little off the main beach area. The smaller beach, short sands beach and village, is about a 15 minute walk from the B&B so it is not a central as some of the inns right off the beach or village area. The B&B is pretty new and everything looks fresh,... more
