The Dockside was wonderful. I had mentioned that we were celebrating our 10-year anniversary, and we were surprised to find a bottle of champagne when we arrived at our room! The location was incredible... Peaceful and quiet, overlooking the water. We didn't try the restaurant, but the breakfasts at the inn were delicious (one morning we had French toast, fruit,... more

My wife, son and I had a wonderful stay at this b&b. Fresh breakfast buffet with friendly, helpful staff. Our room was clean, well stocked and exactly as described in their site. Additionally, this is a nice location for a short visit to Southern Maine especially in the shoulder season. In the end, my family and I will definitely stay... more

Wow! This is a special place. Not too far over the Maine border, it's a great place to stop and stay for a few days to see all of Southern Maine. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were fresh and ample at the breakfast buffet. Afternoon treats were homemade w/tea and coffee available. We had a large queen room... more

We spent our 2 weeks annual holidays in New England. We started our holiday at the Dockside Guest house and spent three memorable days there. The first night we stayed in one of their apartments near the main house and the following 2 nights at the main house. Our rooms were clean. We did not spend too much time in... more

My 93 year old mother was so looking forward to spending a few days at the Dockside. We had visited one evening and I made reservations for our stay in September. Unfortunately, my mother broke her leg and we were unable to go to the Dockside. I called to cancel my reservation, explaining that my mother could not walk and... more

Management response from
guestquarters, Owner/Manager

I am responding to the review and comments about the Dockside being “non communicative, heartless and greedy”. I am truly distressed that someone sees the Dockside this way. As the owner I can personally attest that myself, the management and staff are anything but, we are all very concerned about the welfare of our guests as well as each other....

This hotel has a 5 star view of York Harbour. We could not hope for a better view from our rooms in the Maine House. The rooms were older in style (seaside charm) and large in size. The bathroom in one of the rooms was rather small but the rooms as a whole were spacious. We had a few problems... more

I stayed with my teenage son at the Dockside for only 2 nights. My only regret was that we weren't staying longer. It is a lovely, peaceful place to stay in a beautiful location. We had been recommended to stay here by relatives whom we were visiting nearby. Sadly, we spent a limited amount of time at the Dockside and... more

This is a wonderful place to stay to relax and unwind. We stayed in the rooms by the water, rather than the main house. It was right on the harbor, a beautiful view. Check in was at 3pm and there seemed to be lots of boats returning and motoring by but after about an hour it was quiet the rest... more

I have stayed at the Dockside numerous times....the perfectly idyllic, tranquil 'getaway'. To awaken overlooking the beautiful gardens, rocky shoreline and far horizons is nothing short of paradise...and the delicious variety of home-cooked goodies for breakfast delight one's taste buds! .The Lusty family and Crew are all so welcoming and accommodating. Truly a home away from home.....somewhere I will always... more

The Dockside lives up to and surpasses the excellent reputation it has garnered. Eric and his wife along with their excellent staff excelled in every detail. Breakfast was delicious and we sat outside on the veranda looking out over the harbor entrance and out to sea. The little things, apples freshly picked, home baked breads, superb coffee, autumn leaves on... more
