The Dockside Guest Quarters and restaurant are a quintessentisl Maine establishment. It is a family owned and operated business. They have charming lodging in an incredibly beautiful setting. The breakfast provided is quite lovely. I have eaten in the restaurant several times and have always been pleased.

My wife and I, and later our son, have been guests of the Dockside since our first visit in 1976. Over the years we have enjoyed the peaceful, scenic surroundings, and the courtesy and dedication to guest satisfaction their staff is known for. The accommodations are “Maine Simple”, yet elegant in their own right, and the restaurant seems to get... More

When my power was finally restored, I saw I had received emails from our innkeepers at the Dockside: they were worried that we were allright after Hurricane Sandy had destroyed much of our state. While on their website, I came across a review entitled :Not as Described" with which I must take serious issue. Imagine my surprise when I discovered... More

Booked a week in October at Dockside after checking the reviews on here, studying the website and comparing the other hotels and inns around York Harbour. The reviews seemed very favourable, the rooms looked good and the price about what you would expect. Arrived after visiting Northern Maine for a week and found Dockside to be a immense disappointment. The website... More

Unfortunately the Dockside did not match these guest’s expectations. It is clear to me that they were looking for a full-service upscale hotel. This is clear by their decision to move to the Stage Neck Inn, a very nice 4 diamond hotel. It is obvious, when you compare the Dockside and Stage Neck Inn that the facilities and experience you... First impressions are misleading because you have to approach Dockside through a boat yard.Check in is rather late at 4.00pm but the innkeeper directed us to Perkins Cove to pass the afternoon away. Our room on the first floor with a large shared wooden terrace, had beautiful views over the harbour and was very comfortable and quiet. As with many other hotels and... We did a weekend getaway at this beautiful Inn in late September, 2012. Upon arrival we were greeted by Carol, owner of the Inn. She was so hospitable and sweet and even walked us upstairs to our room despite a knee injury. Every afternoon, there are fresh homemade goodies waiting for guests. We were DELIGHTED by the ginger cookies filled... More

This is an old inn, beautifully maintained by it's on site owners. The decor is perfect, with Maine coastal and boating theme. The inn is on a little island in York Harbor, so every direction one looks there are sites of fishing boats moored, the docks, and in the early morning, boats leaving to go out to fish. On the... This was our second stay at Dockside and we think it is a great "welcome-to-Maine" stop if you are driving up from Boston (only and hour-and-a-half from the airport.) There are really not that many non-motel places to stay in southern Maine with water views, and almost none with the kind of views that Dockside has. Stunning! Pick your spot...the... More

We had a second floor room, with a tremendous view of the bay from the bed. There was a fireplace in the room, and very comfortable wing chairs. Appreciated the small refrigerator in the room, but it was a bit loud at times. Loved the idea they had bikes for loan during your stay, but limited number available. Felt bad... More

The best part about this place to stay, is its location and the view. We received a warm reception upon arrival, but other than that it was just okay. The room was quite small, and the bed was quite hard. It was not the greatest sleep. The breakfast was mediocre. The eggs were overcooked , bland and rubbery. Value for... More
