Stayed at the Inn for a friends wedding. The house was neat and historic. The house was clean. The location on the canal was beautiful. The rooms were nice and had the needed amenities. It was a little pricey for off season with no group discount rate. Not much interaction with the owners other than breakfast. They seemed nice. We... more

This B&B really sets the standard for how they should be run. We had a beautiful room and every amenity possible is provided. The big shower/giant bathtub had plenty of hot water. Having a dedicated parking space in this little town is great too. We usually skip breakfast, but make an exception here because it is so scrumptious! (So we... more

The owners are definitely not "people oriented". We were misquoted a room rate which they honored by giving us a larger,(of very small rooms), that had a view of the canal, but consisted of a shower and no tub. We had expected a European soaking tub as this was the bath facilities in our original request. I feel we were... more

We are sorry that the upgrade did not meet your expectations. The mistake happened when you were placed (on the books) in a waterview room at $159. You had chosen a non-waterview at $125. We tried to remedy this by giving you this waterview room at the $125 rate. We did not realize how important a tub was. When you...

I stayed here the night before my wedding and for my wedding night. We stayed in largest room on the top floor. I arrived there with my sister and sister-in-law whom were sleeping with me the night before the wedding. There is a king sized bed in the room and a day bed...plenty of room for the three of us.... more

I was disappointed, especially in the breakfast which was sliced bananas, mixed orange & strawberry juice, 2 kinds of bread- one was made into thick french toast with no syrup or butter only a slight amount of strawberry/raspberry sauce, and the other was a tiny choc. chip muffin, & overdone dry bacon. I could have done better at a local... more

My husband and I decided to head to Chesapeake City for a weekend getaway and stayed at the Inn at the Canal. We had a great time for the two nights we stayed there. The rooms were very clean and the Innkeepers were very nice and friendly as well. We ate breakfast both mornings at the Inn, and the food... more

We returned last weekend from a wonderful experiance at the Inn at the Canal! We have never been in Chesapeake City and are avid B and B visitors, we were not disappointed. The Inn has a victorian charm that makes you feel immeditaly at home. Mary and Al greeted us at the front door and strive to make every guest... more

I just returned from a long weekend stay at the Inn at the Canal. The inn is located at the canal end of the main village street with canal views from the front and back porches and from my suite balcony (and probably other room balconies as well). The canal is a short block down the street and the rest... more

We found the Inn to be just as advertised and the breakfasts to be even better than expected. Mary's peach pancakes are wonderful so be sure to leave enough time to enjoy breakfast at the inn. The location is perfect for wandering around town and the back veranda is a great spot to relax and unwind. more
