We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on a recent trip to DC. The hotel is in immaculate condition as it just opened for business. The rooms have a more modern feel in sense of decor and layout. The toilet had its on room with a small sink and the shower was in another with a larger sink and vanity. This seemed like a neat concept, except for 2 things (especially when traveling with young kids) there was only a shower, no bathtub and the doors were like sliders and there were no locks.
The breakfast served in the mornings was pretty good, with your average cold servings, plus sausage, eggs, oatmeal and waffles. The weekend we happen to be there it got really busy and the food was going quick, but the staff was very good about refilling the bins and even extending the serving period so that everyone was able to partake.
I booked this hotel to take advantage of a discount and also for the free breakfast (which eliminated one more expense on our trip), not for the closeness... more
