My husband and I were doing a craft show recently in Cumberland, Md. and found this little gem. There are only 2 rooms, but both are huge! One (George's Room) has an en suite bath room that is so big you could have a party in there. The other has the bathroom 1 step outside the door. The bathroom was... More

We stayed at the Inn on Decatur for one night during a bike trip from Pittsburgh to DC. The room was huge and had a great en suite bathroom. Pretty, no cheeseball decor. The breakfast was fresh and abundant, with jams and butters from Amish country. The host was friendly and very knowledgeable about the bike trail. The only downside... More

The hospitality and accommodations here are top notch. We really enjoyed our time here. We stayed in George's room. The bathroom is very large and well appointed. The beds (We used both the regular bed and day bed) were very comfortable. Room and bathroom were very clean nicely decorated. Snacks, sodas, and bottled water were provided. The breakfast was better... More

Despite our arrival after business hours, Gail was there to welcome us. We stayed in George's room. The ensuite bathroom is spacious and has 2 new working windows. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The set-up could be improved by the addition of a small table on both sides of the bed. One side has a place to... More

We went to explore Cumberland and found this gem! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! Gail, the innkeeper, is great and breakfast was outstanding - pancakes, eggs, FRESH fruit, hot muffins, and all kinds of jams, including pumpkin butter. The rooms are very well done, not overdone, like many b-n-bs. The bathroom is very nice, modern convenience with a Victorian... More

While biking the C&O/GAP, we spent 2 nights at Inn on Decatur. Our beautiful room was immaculate and well appointed with lovely decor. The bathroom and laundry was wonderful with exceptional toiletries and amenities. Snacks and treats were provided and a wonderful breakfast with lots of fresh fruit was provided with the offer to take whatever was left-over for our... More

I planned a last minute get away for me and my husband - Gail, the innkeeper, was very accommodating and friendly, but not nosy or obtrusive as some innkeepers tend to be. She was a wealth of knowlege regarding restaurants and things to do. Gail also runs a bike-tour company so if you are a cyclist, she is an excellent... More

We stopped here as part of our bicycle trip from Pittsburgh to Washington, DC. We were glad we did. The B&B was charming and welcoming - beautiful (and big) rooms with lovely antique finishes, generous snacks, laundry (!!) and the biggest and best breakfast of our trip. Our host even gave us a huge bag of fresh fruit to take... More

We stayed at the Inn on Decatur after a bluegrass festival. My husband and I planned to stay at the Inn. My daughter and her husband were camping at the festival and experienced a horrible rainstorm. We brought our daughter and husband back with us because their tent was flooded. Gail was just wonderful. She made all of us feel... More

The Inn on Decatur was our 7-yr old daughter's first experience with a B&B. It is very well set up for a family with the separate kitchen and large en suite bathroom. The room ("George's room") was lovely and very welcoming. The bathroom was heavenly. Our daughter liked it so much she insisted on taking a shower. And I enjoyed... More
