This is a historic inn in a charming town on Maryland's Eastern Shore, with a lot of curb appeal and a very nice lobby, where you can sit by the fire and marvel at the early 19th century craftsmanship, but I will never stay there again. The $155 room was small with only a double bed (we were told no... more

The hotel is classy enough, nice bed and sheets, updated bathroom, and a flat screen tv. The location is also excellent, within walking distance of all the Easton stores and restuarants. But the paint was peeling off the walls and the room was very, very warm. We had to open the windows to keep the temperature tolerable. more

Stayed at the Tidewater this weekend Oct. 10 -12, 2008. Upon arriving, the hotel room was freezing. There is no way to control temperature so all you could do was close the vent which still let out freezing air and a loud sound since the vent was shut. Opened the window to let some warmer air in and unfortunately the... more

We had heard this inn had gone downhill in years past but whoever is in charge now is doing things right! The reasonably priced room, while small, was well-appointed and comfortable: nice bedding, flat screen cable TV, complimentary bottled water, tasteful decor. There was also a sparse but delicious breakfast of fresh fruit, coffee and baked goods included. We especially... more

We stayed 2 nights at the tidewater inn with 4 friends. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were very well equipped with large flat screen TV, comfortable beds with very nice linen. There is a complementary coninental breakfast served. more

My Wife and I recently spent 2 nights at the Tidewater Inn during a quick trip to the Eastern Shore. I had researched every hotel nearby, but I could not pass up the deal we got through Expedia ($75/night) and I must say that we really got our money's worth. Our room was fantastic. We had a big comfy bed... more

Our stay at the Tidewater Inn was great from beginning to end. Every member of the staff went over and above to help make our visit great. There was an error on my part and it was handled without ANY problems at all. The in house restaurant..Restaurant Local..was good, with excellent service. The original room we were assigned was under... more

My wife and I selected the Historic Tidewater Inn for an overnight getaway on Thursday night, July 10. We enjoy the charm and history of old hotels in comparison with the "cookie cutter" Hiltons and Marriotts. Although our room fronted the street, we weren't bothered by the noise outside. The staff was friendly and helpful in suggesting places to go... more

We booked two rooms for our family's stay at the Tidewater last week. The rooms booked were a room with two double beds and a room with a queen bed. We used the valet service upon arrival. There was a family checking in before us, so we had a little wait for the valet and check in. Just be prepared... more

We recently went to Easton for some R & R and good food (see review on Scossa). After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided on the Tidewater as the place for us. We love atmosphere and comfort and find that many of the 'old classics' offer that best. Since The Tidewater has been renovated in the last year... more
