Prior to our trip to Ocean City I read the review posted on this site and wondered if the negative comments were from someone just disgruntled for whatever reason. After my husband and I stayed there for two days recently, I realized that some of those comments were right on base. At first glance the room appeared to be fine, with clean towels, soap, shampoo and paper bath mats placed on the bed closest to the door as you enter the room. Even though the fixtures and furniture were rather outdated, they appeared to be clean. On closer inspection I found that the bathroom floor was dirty with grime built up in the corners. I took a wet cloth over a non-traffic area to find it black afterwards. Keep in mind, we had just checked in and the room was supposed to be clean.
