The weather forecast couldn't have been more dismal--pouring rain for days on end. Elizabeth generously offered to reschedule us for no extra charge, but we were in town for a wedding. After wonderful crepes in the cheery "cafe," we curled up in the comfy reading parlor for hours--wish it had been nice enough to enjoy the porch. We were in... more

I stayed at the Alexander Bed and Breakfast in Princess Anne while on business in Salisbury. Three words describe the visit best: It Was Fabulous! Each night I returned "home" to the Alexander House from long and sometimes tense days to a much-needed, quiet retreat. The porch was my personal favorite but it only slightly won over Elizabeth's delicious breakfasts.... more

We stayed at this B&B for 2 nights last weekend. It was our second anniversary. Everything was wonderful. Our room (the Jane Austen room) was beautiful and spotless. The rest of the house was great, too. The breakfasts were delicious and there was very nice brandy at the end of the day. Our host, Elizabeth, was great. Full of information,... more

If you're looking for a quiet, but fulfilling, retreat, this is the ideal spot. Centrally located to other charming areas, such as Berlin, Assateage and Crisfield, this B&B offers great food, a warm and accomodating hostess and a romantic atmosphere, devoid of the daily distractions of home/work. The Langston Hughes room was not only clean and comfy but fascinating as... more

What an oasis this place was for us! We were in need of a place that could provide us a place to spend time as a family. With our 2 kids living far away, we wanted to be together in a place where we could relax. We also were dealing with attending a family funeral. Upon entering the front door,... more

The place is awesome -- romantic and relaxing. My husband and I stayed there for our anniversary. Food was delicious and Elizabeth gave us a brown bag to eat on the road, as we would drive to the beach and explore the rest of the region. We definitely felt welcomed! more

Five stars go to Elizabeth and Peter, hosts of Princess Anne's Booklovers B&B, and the townsfolk of Pr. Anne are very fortunate to have them! My husband and I spent a wonderful Valentine's Day weekend, complete with poetry readings of love poems, sonnets, etc. in their Cafe Collette on Sat. night. Peter and Elizabeth are quite a team and she... more

Winding your way to Ocean City, MD and/or the locale? Have an enjoyable stay in Princess Anne at the Alexander House, Booklovers B and B. The inn keepers are so personable; the breakfasts are delicious... the Jane Austen room is beautiful. Treat yourself to a lovely, relaxing evening or two. more

Wonderful place, full of charm. The crepes, fantastique! The town is most historical and peaceful, the room, Langston Huges, different than any BB we have stayed with. Many books we love so much. more
