Right in the heart of St. Michaels, so you can walk to everything. The owner is very friendly, and the breakfasts were delicious. The rooms near the kitchen get some early morning noise from the breakfast preparations (clanking of dishes and such), but that is not uncommon in a B&B. There were some small amenities missing, such as Kleenex and... more

Amount in full was charged to credit card months in advance. I did not receive confirmation until I contacted c/c company and they intervened. There was always a "computer or fax problem" I would have canceled but was traveling with 3 other couples. Whiteboard w/name and room # told you where to go and then key in door. Dental floss... more

The Hambleton Inn is a lovely bed and breakfast facility in St. Machaels. It's located at the edge of the marina on Cherry Street ---just a short walk from the Maritime Museum and the Crab Claw restaurant. Our room was off the second floor porch where we could sit and read, sip wine, and gaze out on the river. The... more

We were married on May 20, 2009 right at the water's edge at the Hambleton Inn. Sherri's kindness in allowing us the opportunity to celebrate our wedding at the Inn was the icing on the proverbial wedding cake! We stayed in the Dorchester Room and loved it. The room was very clean and fresh, the bed was soooo comfortable, and... more

We booked the Talbot room as it looked much nicer on the website than in person. The room was actually much smaller and in need of re-freshing from top to bottom - new paint, fresh linens, an upgraded bathroom and a new mattress to replace the sagging one currently there. Breakfast was a carb-fest: pancakes followed by cake with strawberries.... more

For the money we spent on a long weekend....we should have gone to the Marina hotel on the other side of the harbor. The room was in disrepair, out of date and the amenities were non existant. Whoever did the website deserves a raise because they sold something that did not exist in reality. The place itself was nice enough... more

Our room was filthy (dusty, real animal skin rug under the bed covered with dirt, dirty tissue next to bed). There was absolutely no privacy in the bathroom or shower area, which was just an alcove in the bedroom. The shades on the windows were curled allowing no privacy within the room. more

My husband and I spent two days at the Hambleton Inn to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was a chance to unplug from cell phones, computer, etc. The inn has a great location and is well appointed. We especially enjoyed sitting on the 2nd floor porch while sipping wine. Our room was on the top floor which has a separate... more

Arrived after midnight, found the key in our door waiting for us. The room was spacious, and well-lit. The bathroom was roomy and updated. Fell into our king-size four-poster bed and passed out. Struggled out of bed at 9:30 for a wonderful breakfast served by the owner. The inn is right on the water, with a private deck and lawn,... more

We had a fantastic time at the Hambleton Inn. Sherry, the Innkeeper, is wonderful, service-oriented, charismatic woman who is a fantastic cook. She really took care of us during our stay. After a delightful gourmet breakfast, we loved walking to town and shopping. It was so nice to come back to the Inn, sit on the porch, look at the... more
