Stayed in March 2008 on one night weekend special winter rate. Rooms are beautiful, top notch for a B&B. Grounds are beautiful. Service was excellent. I've eaten at restaurant without stay in the past. This time, we ate there with stay and we thought food better than avereage but not excellent and not as good as in our past experiences.... more

Since we live about 30 minutes away, we've never stayed at Antrim 1844, although we have dined at the inn's restaurant a couple times. BUT, this was our best experience. While visiting with friends who were staying at the inn for a mid-week get-away, we bought pizzas at the nearby pizza carry-out, called "No Anchovies." With pizzas in hand, we... more

We had a wonderful experience at Antrim. We booked the "Gettysburg" package, and what a deal. Battlefield tour, 3 museums, 6 course dinner, breakfast tray at the door, and Chefs breakfast, plus a book on Gettysburg. The service is superior, the ambiance is great, and the grounds are beautiful. Don't miss the "new" Gettysburg Visitor center, open on 7 weeks,... more

My husband and I were married in December and celebrated our reception at Antrim 1844. Our menu was superb and our guests were entirely impressed! Chef Gettier had many wonderful ideas and personally helped us select the courses. The servers did a fabulous job setting up the ballroom, and I was very thankful for their kind and patient assistance with... more

Antrim 1844 consists of a very large Victorian house and several smaller houses about a block away. Every inch of the property is over-decorated; I felt as though I was smothered in wall paper, draperies, festoons, and "stuff." There are many, many rickety stairs, up and down everywhere, with ledges to trip over, loose and uneven bricks in the floor,... more

There are a lot of things to enjoy about the Antrim. It's close to DC and Baltimore, has a range of rooms and suites with nice ammenities and a wonderful restaurant. My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary, and booked a room in one of their newly converted out buildings, the Zepp House. Our room was nice, but... more

This is a very nice country inn, and I'm sure that a guest can have a lovely, relaxing and romantic visit here. Our problem was that the restaurant was fully booked. There were 2 private dining parties taking place, and it was just more than they could handle. Service was exceptionally slow and inattentive. So, here is my tip: Ask... more

We did an overnighter in June and were VERY disappointed. We booked a special at $250...for one night stay, six course dinner and breakfast. I was told that it was broken down....room @ $113 and dinner @ $137 plus drinks extra.then you were taxed separately and a mandatory 20% tip for dinner would also be included. Dinner came out to... more

We just returned from our second stay at this lovely inn. As before, the service was superb--just look around and someone will be there to serve with wonderful courtesy and efficiency. The property is very attractive, although less so in early spring than in high summer, when the gardens are at their best. Our room, the Taney Suite, was the... more

My wife and I have just returned home from our 4th trip to Antrim 1844, and the place just gets better and better. This time, during the serving of the evening hors d‘oeuvres, Mr. Sia Ayrom, the very gregarious restaurant manager, greeted and chatted with all the guests. Since Mr. Ayrom is also the wine steward, during dinner we asked... more
