The Chatham Bars Inn is one of those rare New England coastal hotels that goes the distance. We stayed in one of the cottages, and the rooms were very luxurious. The main inn is a gorgeous old building with a fantastic restaurant. The food is some of the best in Chatham, if not that part of the cape. It has... more
We have been at Chatham Bars several times for work-related conferences, and decided to come back for a romantic weekend away. Food, service, and amenities were all excellent as usual. We did have a problem with our room - the gas fireplace did not work, nor did the enormous LCD tv in the bedroom. I mentioned this to the front... more
We have always wanted to stay at CBI but like so many other reviewers the rates were just too high in the summer. Got a great deal through Travelzoo. The staff were extremely nice and accomodating, even letting us check out super late because of a conference call my husband needed to be on. We also used the spa which... more
We got in a little nervous since it was past midnight when we finally arrived after a 5 hr drive from NYC. I was wondering if there would be anybody available at the front desk at 1am in the morning. To my surprise the main inn was huge and very well lit. We checked in with no problems, our room... more
We got a special rate from Travelzoo.com for $125.00 a night. We only stayed one night since we live on the Cape near by. I have always wanted to stay here but the rates during the summer are very high. The only reason I put 4 stars instead of 5, is because when we checked in we were informed of... more
My husband and I spent a long w/e at CBI in Feb for a "babymoon" getaway. We know Chatham very well (got married at the Wequassett) and have eaten at the beach club restauarant at CBI several times over the summers. We weren't quite sure what to expect at the Inn off season, but it was great! The staff is... more
We have stayed twice at this hotel (January 2008 and Feb 2008). The staff/service has been amazing both times. The staff is willing to do anything they can to make your stay better, and I would recommend this "inn" to anybody looking for a wonderful weekend getaway. more
We have been staying at the CBI for a long weekend in the off season for 3 years running and will continue to do so. Many of the complaints about high rates and crowds do not apply in the winter and early Spring, and while you won't get the same use of the beach and pool, a winter visit will... more
We are a family of three, two adults and a girl of 7. We are travelling a lot internationally, South Africa, Dubai, Portugal, Spain, Uk, Germany, Austria, just to name a few. We aimed to stay for 9 days at Chatham Bars Inn, but decided after four hours to cancel. The rooms are inappropriate, especially if you compare them with... more
