The location is perfect - Old Silver Beach is gorgeous, clean. Sunsets are beautiful. Plenty of comfortable lounge chairs, big towels and beach umbrellas. Beach waitress service for food and drink means you don't have to move if you don't want to! The hotel is clean, but is really in need of a renovation. It is outdated, and "resort" is... more

The "resort" is not a resort, it is akin to an old holiday inn or best western at best that needs updating. Good location on the ocean. Rugs are old, tv's are old, furniture and bathroom is old. Not dirty or disgusting but do not have high expectations. Oceanfront dining room views are spectacular and food is just ok. Breakfast... more

I too stayed here for an AAU tournament and immediately checked tripadvisor to see what I was getting myself into. After reading the reviews, I packed my flip flops to wear around the room and some Lysol. However, I was pleasantly surprised on arrival. It's an old resort w/ way too many rooms to keep up but my room wasn't... more

After reading the reviews of this hotel for the past couple of months I was expecting the worst at the Sea Crest. We were here for my daughter's AAU tournament. We stayed in the 700 block. Yes the hotel is older but I've stayed at worse. The reviews here would make it seem as if this place is no better... more

My husband and I wanted a relaxing weekend away without the kids for our anniversary. I wish I had come along these reviews before we wasted money on this place. And believe me, we've stayed at many places over the years with and without the kids, but this place is no resort!! The rooms and hotel is totally outdated. The... more

I can not believe I am actually seeing some reviews above 2. This has to be the SINGLE MOST DISGUSTING hotel I have ever stayed at. If the owner(s) read these postings - seriously - tear everything down and start from scratch. To say this a "resort" is like saying Charles Manson had a slight aggression problem. RESORT? Are you... more

I think this hotel/motel has poor reviews due to "resort" in its name, resulting in very high expectations from folks! This is more like a high end motel vs. a resort. The travelocity off-peak rates are very affordable, and the indoor pool, game room and ping pong tables make this a fine place to bring kids during the winter! We... more

Where do I begin? The property is kept poorly. There scratches, markings, and outright vandalism on many of the common surfaces (the elevator, stairwells, carpetting in the hallways, etc.). The staff is mostly unattentive and unfriendly. That might have something to do with the number of seasonal employees they import from Eastern Europe, South America, New Zealand, and Austrailia, who... more

Went for a dance conference - lots of dancing/meeting space. Two days before, I checked this site. YIPES!!!! Terrible reviews. Would I catch the plague?? I set out for the conference ready to flee and stay elsewhere. It is true that the property is well overdue for renovation. No question. However, I found the staff pleasant and the place as... more

I attended a conference at the SeaCrest. I did not stay at the hotel because I had seen the reviews on TripAdvisor. Thank goodness I didn't sleep there! I can tell you from my experience with the conference facilities that the SeaCrest is horrid and I would never return. It is old and does have a smell as other reviewers... more
