This is not a fancy hotel, so if that is what you are looking for you may not be happy. This is an old (about 100 yr old) house converted to a B&B. We had the room all the way on the third floor. It had a nice view of the water and the room was clean and spacious, with... More

if you are looking for 5 star luxury, then this is not the place for you. However, if you want a comfortable B&B with a friendly welcome then i would recommend that you look no further. We had a comfortable room overlooking the sea. There are a number of good restaurants within easy walking distance and a good continental breakfast... More

You won't find a better place to stay in Gloucester than the Harborview Inn. The view was beautiful and John the host is incredibly friendly and helpful. You really feel comfortable and relaxed here. The location is fantastic as it is diagonally-across from the Fishermans' Memorial Statue and just a short walk down to the bars, shops, and restaurants (don't... More

I have to make my own coffee ordinarily! What a lovely place! The ocean is right outside the front door, it's walking distance to great restaurants and other historic sites. The Innkeeper is fabulous! He knows everything about the area and helps you get aclimated to Gloucester and feel at home in any way you might need. Gorgeous breakfast waiting... More

We've been here twice before in the summer and loved it. In the summer there are air conditioners and you keep the windows closed so it's ok. They took the ac out when we were here in October and the room was too warm for closed windows. The noise from traffic is continuous. It never let's up. Having to keep... More

The Harborview Inn sits on one of the main streets running through Gloucester with a wonderful view if the Atlantic. John, the inn keeper, was very warm and friendly and greeted my husband and I as soon as we arrived. We stayed in the Magnolia Suite on the top floor of the inn with a direct view of the ocean... It was friendly and easy right from the get go. We went with friends also, and John could not have been more accomodating for us. Close to restaurants, whale watching, shopping. Right across the street is the ocean! The breakfast was usual fare for continental, but Johns friendliness and stories really made the whole weekend. We will definitely stay there... More

What I had hoped would be a beautiful relaxing weekend turned out to be a miserable experience. While the 'Location' map on their website hints that their inn is close to a major thoroughfare (Route 127) because the drawing is too generic and no scale to base it on, you don't realize that the inn is RIGHT ON Route 127,... I had the opportunity to stay at the Inn over the weekend. It is a lovely B&B with 6 rooms/suites and very nicely decorated. The rooms all have cable tv, phones, wireless internet, a/c and private bathrooms. You can walk downtown to museums and restaurants and explore the working waterfront. It is directly across from Gloucester's outer harbor and while... More
