Very warm and friendly inn. My husband and I stayed overnight with our 15 month old. It was the perfect winter weekend getaway. The room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed an amazing dinner - the crusted pork was fantastic! The Innkeepers are very friendly. No need to search for a restaurant in downtown Stockbridge when you arrive - -... more

My girlfriend and I arrived in Stockbridge, MA over the Columbus Day Weekend after dark wtih no place to stay. Our first stop, the Red Lion Inn, a very popular accomodation and restaurant, was impersonal and extremely expensive ($350/night). After a referral from the hostess at a restaurant around the corner, we decided to continue down Rt 7 south towards... more

My wife and I have stayed in a lot of bed and breakfasts throughout the country (MA, VT, NH, NY, PA, AZ, MT) . The room we stayed in (Garden III) was incredibly musty smelling, so we spent most of our time avoiding it. The lawn chairs were covered with bird feces, the building and grounds were in severe need... more

I found the Thornwood Inn charming. The house is old but has been kept in good condition. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had twin beds, and I found I had no trouble falling asleep. This is the second time I have stayed at the Inn and found everything delightful. When I visit my relatives, I always feel welcome... more

We held a 40th birthday party brunch at the Thornewood Inn/ The Point Restaurant. The food was amazing, plentiful and well within our budget. The champagne cocktails they made worked perfectly with our pink theme and were a huge hit. Their entire staff helped with the additional decorations we had brought as well as handing out party favors to all... more

I had stayed here with friends on a trip to New England in 2003 and we re-discovered it last month when travelling through the Berkshires. We had picked a quiet time of the year to be travelling and had a choice of rooms when we arrived without a reservation. We were also offered a Bed Beakfast and Evening Meal Deal... more

We have stayed at the Thornewood Inn several times during family ski trips to Butternut. We love it and plan on returning. The Thorne family couldn't possibly be nicer. Breakfast is always great. Dinner at the onsite restaurant The Pointe is great. It is a really comfortable place to be. The rooms are nice. There are a few things about... more

We LOVED this Inn ! It is a charming "New England" country Inn. Im not sure what the guest who were unhappy were talking about?? Our experience couldnt have been better. The Inn keepers were very helpful, we had never been to the area they told us everything we needed to know. They were very friendly and made us feel... more

Where to begin? From the moment my husband and I stepped foot into The Thornewood Inn, we should have turned around and left. We arrived and had to hunt for someone to check us in. Our room was on the second floor where half the overhead hallway lights were out. Upon opening our door, we were shocked at the size... more

First time to this area. The website was very misleading. Breakfast was enjoyable. The interior and exterior was obviously rundown. Common services; bar service, ice, coffee, fireplace etc. were poor or non existing. Access to internet and centrally located. We will not return. more
