My husband and I booked a room at the Mountain View motel, since it was one of the few motels to allow a one-night stay (most inns and hotels in the area have a 3 night minimum). The price was relatively cheap - only $125 a night, so we weren't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised to say the least. The room was enormous (with separate sitting area), with an extremely comfortable king-size bed (always important). The bathroom appeared to be completely new with a new jacuzzi tub. Everything was sparkling clean. A few odd touches - plastic flowers hung around the pictures, and the walls were unpainted wood, but all-in-all we were very pleased. We would definitely stay there again! (until now, we have stayed at the Red Lion Inn when we visit the Berkshires, but were looking for something less expensive this year).
