If you're looking for a relaxing beach vacation then the Breakwaters is perfect! It is just steps to Sea Street Beach, and there's also a nice pool on the property. It's about a 10 -15 minute walk to the Main Street shopping area. The grounds are clean and well-kept, the staff are very helpful and friendly. Our 2 bedroom cottage... more

The Breakwaters location is excellent. One minute walk to the beach and two minute drive to town. I was so excited to find a place available for our last minute vacation, that I never asked if there was air conditioning. That was our only downfall - it was very hot. Even at night. They had a large fan in the... more

This past June was our second visit in two years at The Breakwaters and third in 6 years in Cape Cod. We stayed in unit 5A (1 bedroom). We have two young girls (5 and 7). The girls stayed together on the sofa in the living room at night and we had a superbe room for my wife and I.... more

We have stayed at the Breakwaters three times in the past ten years and have always found it a wonderful place to stay with our children. However, this time was not the same. We stayed in the 3 bedroom unit , were able to get early summer rates for the week of the 4th, so we were very excited about... more

We stayed in unit 2A. After driving for 9 hours to get there we were thrilled to arrive at this cute little cottage just steps from the beach. There was more than enough room for four adults and one child. We took advantage of the fully equipped kitchen (too cold and wet to grill, unfortunately) and the cleaning service came... more

The unit we stayed in was a very cute cottage... more

We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit at The Breakwaters (6A) and were very pleased with our accomodations. The bedrooms were both large with plenty of room and plenty of storage. There was even a second television in one of the rooms. The housekeeper was polite and thorough. The futon in the living room was not the most comfortable place... more

We stayed at The Breakwaters during the first week in August 2005. The weather was beautiful. We stayed in 6A (2-bedroom) and our friends stayed in 7B (1-bedroom). The two bedroom had everything we needed. The kids had their own room. The view from the deck was awesome. We loved having barbeque dinners on the deck watching the Nantucket and... more

The cabins were small & somewhat dated but clean. The location near the ocean was great. The nearby beach was pleasant. The pool was great. We were there for the week before Labour day...the weather was great...and we really enjoyed the Cape. Whale watching out of Barnstable was great...nice boat...lots of whales. I would recommend these cabins as great basic... more

This is real Cape Cod. We have stayed at the Breakwaters ( Unit 2A ) for many years. This 3 bedroom unit is nicely kept, clean and has all the conveniences that we require, plus exceptional water views. The proximity tio town, shopping and restaurants is great and staff are always helpful and friendly. We look forward to returning again... more
