As part of a New England tour, our motorcoach full of tourists (50 of us) stayed for a week at the Heritage House. Fortunately, I had a wonderful fantastic time on the tour. The hotel, however, was not the highlight -- I had such a good time going to Martha's Vineyard and touring Plymouth Rock, Boston, etc.,etc.,that I hate to... more

The Heritage House Hotel has three buildings totaling 143 rooms and each facility is equally secure, and entry to each building and room is only acquired by the individual key card held by our registered guests and we police our buildings and parking lot area all through the night. Our towels and bedding are properly disposed of once they wear...

Stayed there on Christmas Eve, after getting to Hyannis too late for boat or plane to Nantucket. The beds were in bad shape, the room smelled of too much deodorizer, the mini refrigerator buzzed and buzzed until I had to unplug it, the soda machines were all out of what I wanted. I hope other people have had better luck,... more

We sympathize with the frustration of not being able to take a plane or boat to the islands, especially on a night such as Christmas Eve. We know how difficult it can be in situations like the one you were faced with. We apologize that you feel our guest room smelt too much of deodorizer but we periodically wash the...

Walked in to be greated by pleasent staff but the hotel was awful. Very dated, stale smelling and grubby with very small rooms. Nice view of car park and main road. Noisy with vending machines on outside wall of room. Broken bed. Checked out without spending the night. Best move we have made as other local hotels were much better.... more

My family stayed at the Heritage House for one night on weekend. After booking this hotel online, we came upon some very negative reviews. We were a bit worried and nervous, but were pleasantly surprised when we got to the hotel. The desk staff are generally quite young, but they are charming, helpful and cheerful. We stayed in room 214,... more

After reading the many horrific reviews on this website, we were pleasantly surprised by the Heritage House Hotel. We booked a fairly last minute trip for Columbus Day weekend, so the more preferable options were either sold out or ridiculously expensive. We also planned on spending half of the weekend in Martha's Vineyard and the other half in Nantucket, so... more

Disappointed as soon as we walked in the side entrance to our ground floor room. Torn awning, dirty walls, torn up dirty floor and stairs. The room was well laid out and clean enough except for mold in bathroom and missing bathroom tiles. Had a fridge, although handle was missing. The patio was about one-quarter green mossy slime from the... more

I stayed there for 2 nights. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. It is one of the older in Hyannis. The room was clean, with no special frills. However, it did have that musty ocean smell. I finally had to buy some Lysol to tolerate it. The room was comfortable. We had an excellent dinner... more

You apparently didn’t send the troops in to check out this hotel before putting it on your site. The pictures shown did not represent the outside let alone the room we were given. We were under the impression that we would have a room with a balcony. The room given was with window with holey curtains and a smell. When... more

Just returned from a trip to Hyanis, Cape Cod. On approaching the hotel we realised that the outside did not match up with the description that we had been given. The reception staff were very cool and unwelcoming. There were 4 of us - our friends made a decision as soon as they saw their room that they didn't want... more
