We stayed here 1 night while driving up to Maine. We very much enjoyed the stay! The hotel is located within walking distance to the city - yet is set back from the street and not at all noisy. Our room was comfortable and clean as was the entire facility. We never detected any smell of mildew or darkened hallways... more

Stayed at the John Carver in June of 2008 based mostly on the pool shown on their web site (kids were sold from the first look). Pool was fantastic as shown. Great slide and not too deep for younger children. Rooms were nice and well kept. Location in town was great. Within walking distance of the Mayflower II and most... more

My family and I visited the JCI about 7 yeas ago . When we arrive this time we were greeted by the staff at the front desk . They were very helpful and quickly got us ready . When we arrived at the room it was a different story . We were quickly greeted by the smell of mildew and... more

My husband and I booked the luxury suite with fireplace and jacuzzi for a midweek getaway. Once we saw our room, we promptly checked out. It was not awful, but the building is very old and could use some sprucing up. The corridors were dark and twisty. We opened the door to the suite and rather than thinking "Wow", we... more

We only spent one night of the holiday weekend at your hotel, but my kids are still talking about the great time they had at the pool. They have made me promise to take them back again. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. My kids loved our waitress at the Hearth & Kettle. But all the raves... more

The hotel was excellent - great location, beautifully decorated room, and wonderful employees. The grandkids loved, loved, loved the pool. The gift shop has great items - regular vacation souveniers and many unique items. The gift shop also sells Plimouth Plantation/Mayflower tour tickets with a small discount. We also found that on most of the regular souveniers, the gift shop... more

My boyfriend and I were in Plymouth visiting a friend we hadn't seen in awhile. We had not intended on staying the night, but an evening out for "just one drink" landed us in the predicament looking for an affordable open hotel at 11:30PM in the middle of winter in Plymouth that was within walking distance from where we were.... more

My wife and I went here for a romantic overnight. Front desk staff was not friendly or helpful. A room service pot of coffee ($2.49) ended up costing $12.50 with fees. The food and service was okay at the restaurant. The room was very nice but considering all the attractions are closed in the winter, it is overpriced. more
