I wanted to leave my first review because my husband and I rely so much on Trip Advisor when making travel arrangements. We stayed at the Nichols Guest House on a rainy evening in mid-October. We arrived late (about 10 PM), which was no problem because there was a note on the door guiding us to the key. Our reservation... more

The Nichols B&B was a nice place to stay because it has the 'staying with your Aunt' kind of feeling. It is very welcoming, cozy, and you feel like you have known the innkeeper for a while because she makes you feel so comfortable. The rooms are small but have been redone to accomodate a full vanity and shower. I... more

We cannot say enough about Dorothy and Walt. Walt greeted us at the door after a very long day of driving. He offered us some refreshments and showed us to our rooms as well as offering to carry our luggage. We only stayed a few minutes as we wanted to go into Providence to see the Waterfire display. Walt explained... more

We stayed at the Nichols B & B the last night of a 10 day New England trip. We knew from reading the reviews that the inn would be small but we decided to give it a try. There were some things we liked about the inn such as the convenient location to the airport and downtown Providence sights. The... more

Early 1800 houses heated with fireplaces will have small rooms. New down pillows and mattresses are on the beds with a total of 7 pillows per room. The showers will leak if the glass doors are not closed tightly. The linens are era dried outdoors on the clothesline: ecologically green. Fresh batteries were in the DVD & VCR remotes but need...

I couldn't say enough about this place. Dorothy and Walt were so accommodating, very friendly, funny and easy to talk to. The breakfast was like one I've never had before. It was much better than any restaurant (and not greasy!). The home fries were out of this world! We talked to Dorothy for almost 3 hours during and after breakfast.... more

The hosts are very nice - full of good stories and kindnesses. Breakfast was a highlight each day both for the delicious food and the good company. Menu was varied and something new and surprising each day. Muriel room is small but comfortable for sleeping. All basic amenities are available. And location is convenient to the area. Far superior to... more

Our stay was awesome! The innkeeper, Walt, was very friendly and an amazing cook. You will NOT be disappointed with the breakfast that he prepares for you! This is a TRUE bed and breakfast experience. Walt is very informed with the main attractions around the area. The inn is filled with adorable trinkets for your viewing pleasure. You will truly... more

My husband and I found ourselves in need of a place to stay "spur of the moment" in Providence. We tried a couple of local chain hotels and they were booked. I had gone on line before we left home to google bnbs just in case we did stay over and Nichols sounded nice...it was very funny because when we... more
