Our large family of adults and children reunions at the VG every July for a week. Beverly, the owner/mgr., is always welcoming and accomodating. All of the staff is also. We like the layout because the large pool is contained within the buildings' quadrangle for easy supervision of the children and the public ocean beach is just across the street.... more

Been going to the Village Green for 3 Augusts in a row ('04, '05, and '06) and want something a little more this time. The owners are nice and lots of regulars go there year after year. Quaint. But, no A/C is annoyiing. The pool was not clean (plenty of hair and floaters). The room also smelled like garbage one... more

been going there for over 10 years owners are very normal people and the staff is very helpfull. It is great for families . It is very well secure. .You can live without air cond. IT IS NOT the Ritz. but the ambiance is great. Bev & doris go out of their way to assist you more

The rooms smell funny and sheet look like they havn't been washed for weeks. Also, the front deck was very insulting. more

We'll be back! This couple stayed quite unexpectedly here on a recent weekend when another motel close by botched our reservation. The rooms, grounds, and recreational pursuits here are immaculate, quite serviceable, and economical, despite close proximity to the beach for which neighboring facilities take well advantage rate-wise. We have been staying at the Village Green for 3 years now, and we love it. As another traveller said, if you are looking for a true resort atmosphere, this is not for you. This is the only hotel on the cape without AC's. Stop being so cheap! That place hasn't been updated since '72. A fresh coat of paint doesn't count! The only saving grace is the walk to the Skipper Lookout lounge!! more

My mom grew up going to this motel and now we continue to go every summer. The staff and people staying at the motel are all very friendly and it is close to the beach. However, if you are looking for a 5-star hotel this is not the place to stay as there are no phones in the room and... more
