My husband and I happened onto this bed and breakfast manor quite serendipitously. We stopped to ask for rates and were welcomed into a relaxed and hospitable atmosphere. It is a beautifully restored establishment and our room was very pleasant with a wonderfully comfortable bed. Breakfast in the morning is not to be outdone! It was fabulous. The host and... more

Our second 2 night stay at Bursley in two years. Sheila really makes you feel welcome. Stayed in the "Wicker Room" - bright, airy, comfortable, good size. Large bathroom with spa. Great breakfast. Located in a quiet area, but close to beaches, good restaurants, etc. Will be back. Thanks for making our stay on the cape memorable. more

We stayed in Mad Jack, a handsome room outfitted with a fireplace and a jacuzzi bathtub which certainly added to our weekend. The bed was firm and probably one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. In the morning, Sheila puts together a lovely breakfast including: waffles, fruits, eggs, bacon, granola - which we appreciated even more... more

Sheila and Frances know how to run a B&B. The place was wonderfully decorated and well kept. The breakfast was spot on good! Homemade waffles, eggs, fruit, pastries, juices, the works! They had a fireplace in all the bedrooms and sitting areas which added to its historic charm. Add one cute dog, Puck, (won't affect those with allergies!) who makes... more

I booked this B&B a few days before my husband and I traveled to the Cape for a long weekend to celebrate my 28th birthday. The inn was clean and cosy, and Sheila made us feel welcome. She has a cute little dog, Puck. The other guests enjoying a breakfast of bagels, cereal, coffee, juice, pastries, waffles, and fresh fruit... more

This was a wonderful stay. We were in the Mad Jack room, and it was excellent. The bed was great, and the linens were incredible, much better than I had expected. It was great to come back after a long day and sack out. The fireplace was operational, and really great, we had a fire every night. Really well decorated... more

Charming inn and gracious hostess. Easy to find and very relaxing, wine upon arrival and delicious fruit and pasteries for breakfast. And the bed, bath and linens were heavenly, perfect for unwinding after a long day of travel. more

We stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful time in Cape Cod. Even though we arrived very late at night, the owner Sheila was gracious about it. The breakfast spread was amazing - fresh fruit, pastries, bagels, cereal, scones - the works! It was one of the rare times my boyfriend actually ate breakfast. We stayed in the Wicker Room... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay in Cape Cod and our time spent at Bursley Manor in West Barnstable, MA. Sheila, the owner, was very attentive and has created a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere at Bursley Manor. Plenty of information is also available about what to do on the Cape. Sheila offered us the use of beach chairs and towels... more
