The Broad Meadow Bed & Breakfast is a unique year round B&B with private bath, on four and a half acres down a private road in West Tisbury. The one room, on the first floor of a large studio behind the owner’s main house, sleeps up to two people (two adults) and one or two children or two adults connected to the adults downstairs may sleep in overflow space in an upstairs room. Both rooms are spacious and airy. The main room has a queen size bed. A double futon, ensconced in a sunny alcove, is for quiet sitting. A lovely breakfast, including home made breads, is left early each morning in an ante-room of the studio so that guests may eat in privacy at a time of their choosing. Our offerings include a pass to the popular and private Lambert's Cove Beach on Vineyard Sound, as well as a parking pass to Long Point Beach on the Atlantic Ocean.

I stayed in Marjory's lovely B&B in mid-September, a perfect time to visit Martha's Vineyard. Marjory was a lovely and lively hostess. From the minute I arrived, she engaged me in interesting conversation. It was obvious that she wanted me to enjoy my first time to the Vineyard and offered lots of suggestions for must-do activities, from the Martha's Vineyard Museum to the "Dumptique". I also took her up on several of her restaurant suggestions - all wonderful. The B&B itself is down a private road in a pastoral section of the island, close to the airport and almost equidistant from everything else! Fresh fruit, granola, fresh-baked bread, juice & coffee, enjoyed especially at the outdoor table by the meadow, was a wonderful way to start the day. And, the pastoral setting was a welcome retreat to unwind from busy days. Marjory was near if I needed anything, but very much respected my privacy. The one thing I was uncertain about before arriving was the absence of a TV at the property. I brought a tablet so I could stream movies, but did not watch once. I found that my days were full and when I arrived back at my temporary home, I just wanted to relax, read and plan the next day's events. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat close to everything yet away from the busier Edgartown or Oak Bluffs, and would enjoy an experience where the hostess offers a unique and personal touch to your stay, I highly recommend The Broad Meadow B&B. I certainly hope there are more visits in my future!

Property's Favourite Review
My wife and I just spent two nights at Broad Meadow B&B over Memorial Day weekend. The B&B was selected for us by friends who own a home on the Vineyard, so we had little idea what to expect. Upon returning to our own home I browsed through the uniformly favorable reviews (98% 5 star!) and I can attest to their accuracy in all respects. The accommodations, amenities, breakfast, and surroundings are all as superb as advertised and, not least, are provided by an interesting owner who genuinely strives to please her guests and has a deep knowledge of the island. There are no hidden warts: look through the photos, browse the reviews, and you'll have a sound basis for deciding whether this is the place for you.

Marjory is a superb hostess - delightful; knowledgeable about the island, and more; welcoming; and very accommodating. We visited recently and could not have been more pleased with her charming and peaceful location and freshly-baked breakfast breads! Falling asleep to the country sounds of crickets and awakening to a rooster's crows were a joy. We highly recommended her B&B.

This Bed & Breakfast is in a great location on the Island. One certainly feels the peaceful stability of a settled farming neighborhood, rather than the hectic transitional life of a tourist center. The beds were very comfortable, and beach chairs and towels were provided easing our packing. Freshly baked bread, coffee/tea with yogurt/fruit/granola in the morning were all very nourishing, satisfying and delicious. We are a blended family, and found the space suited us well for our particular needs for space and individual beds. And nothing beats a shower under the light of the moon, rinsing off salty water.

My stay at the Broad Meadow Bed and Breakfast was absolutely perfect! Marjory is an excellent hostess. I spoke extensively with Marjory before making the reservation and she was extremely helpful and honest about the distance from town and getting around. Marjory told me everything I needed to know about the island. Since the summer nights are cool, Marjory lent me her scarf. She even introduced me to her friend who is one of the authors of a famous book on multi-sensory learning. Finally, Marjory offered to drive me to the airport. The inn is cozy, clean and spacious. Breakfast included eggs, homemade bread, yogurt, fruit and granola. The views surrounding the inn are incredible. On several mornings, I woke up and watched the sunrise. I've included pictures. Breakfast, honest conversation, helpfulness, and personal care made Broad Meadow Inn a place to which I'd love to return. Thank you, Marjory. God's blessings upon you and your family.

The Broad Meadow was a beautiful peaceful property, absolutely wonderful to eat breakfast outdoors in a meadow! Marjorie was an excellent hostess making freshly baked bread every morning. The location is perfect to explore the up island area of MV. The property is right near a wonderful bike path. Easy access to Lambert’s Cove Beach and Menemsha, with its magnificent sunsets, and great seafood. A perfect place to stay for a restorative holiday!

Such a peaceful setting with Marjory's special touch made for a wonderful stay. What a treat to have fresh baked bread in the morning. This was our 1st visit to Martha's Vineyard & we loved every minute! What a treat to hear whippoorwills! Be sure to visit The Poly Hill Arboretum.

We are currently staying at the Broad Meadow Bed & Breakfast in West Tisbury, Martha's Vineyard. We have never been more warmly greeted and welcomed to a Bed & Breakfast as we were by Marjory Potts, the owner of this lovely, storybook B&B. The guest B&B is in a separate building next to her home surrounded by a beautiful country view in every direction. It is quiet and serene. A perfect place to relax and unwind. The shower is the best we have had on our trip as was the delicious breakfast of fresh fruit, granola, juice, and, if you can believe it, homemade bread, baked just last night. Marjory may want to rename this The Broad Meadow Bread and Breakfast, a charming place to stay, hosted by an equally charming woman.

Marjory's place is a little slice of heaven. If you're looking for peace and tranquility this place is the place! We arrived there last Thursday. I was filming a wedding on the Island and I wish I could've spent more time at Marjory's place. Her cottage is very clean and quiet. Every morning Marjory would surprise us with a fresh baked bread boule and a delicious frittata. The breakfasts were fantastic and so was she. She's an amazing person and we had wonderful conversations. We left feeling like we had known Marjory all of our lives. Thank you for a fantastic stay Marjory! I highly recommend spending time at her at place.
