Stayed for two nights recently (Middle of October) Room decor past it's best, restuarant staff enthusiastic but scruffy and most need to wash thier hands. We enjoyed our stay -- comfortable, spacious room -- room service was just OK, but the "Gala Benedict" eggs in the restaurant were delicious. Courtyard facing rooms are better -- the street can get noisy in others. more

We stayed at Orchards Hotel for two nights and enjoyed the spacious and well-equipped king room. The hotel is overpriced for the area, however, and plunked down in the middle of traffic and parking lots, with not much charm. Recommend you book the AARP or AAA price to make the pricing more tolerable. more

We came up for an overnight stay for ski trip...wanted to stay at the Hampton Inn but it was all booked. So Orchard Inn called us last minute after putting us on a wait list so we chose this over Comfort Inn thinking it might be a little fancier, but it's probably not as good. This was sheer luxury. A 4-night stay in an amazing hotel in a lovely location for touring the Berkshires. Our 'Fireplace room' was absolutely huge with an equally large bathroom, double basins and dressing area. The Orchards is relatively small and friendly with lots of personal touches.
