Spectacular architecture, warm and engaging host, great views, convenient to the town and other area attractions. I have fond memories of sitting either at the dining room table shooting the breeze with Carlos on a wide range of topics or reading in the vaulted living room area gazing out at the hills and listening to classical music. . Oh yes---and... More

Ancienthiker, thank you for your review. We look forward to your return and taking you on a culinary breakfast tour of the southern U.S. - fried green tomatoes for breakfast? With a New England touch: a hash combining sweet potato and chicken-apple maple sausage. Best Wishes. More

First time to Williamstown with family and our first experience with bed and breakfast. I have to say this is an experience that I will remember for a long time. Needless to say the scenery of the mountain is amazing, but having that in front of you with a wonderful breakfast prepared by Carlos in the morning was really a... More

Hi David and thanks for your review. It was a delight hosting you and your family at Journey's End. I know your daughter will make the right choice of college and that, with her parents' continued guidance, accomplish her professional and personal goals. We look forward to your return visit to Williamstown and Journey's End whenever that might occur. More

Beautiful views and a warm, engaging proprieter, who will feed you like a Mom. We were shooting the breeze in the kitchen on a wide range of issues when he whipped up some fantastic quacamole and chips. Had an early flight the next morning but the satisfying breakfast and great tasting coffee were waiting for us. Thanks, Carlos! The big log... More

Hi Joe and thanks very much for your review. We take your comment about acoustics to heart. As you note, Journey's End Lodge and its upper floor where guest suites are located is constructed entirely of logs. Wood, unlike wall board in a conventional home, is very resonant. We will install additional sound damening area rugs and other materials. Journey's... More

It truly has all been said about this new gem in Williamstown-- it is not to be missed. We stayed there over a Saturday night and I only wish we could have stayed longer to fully enjoy this beautiful lodge. Carlos's hospitality is 5-star and his cooking is the best. He rose early and made us coffee before we went... More

Hi Susan. Thanks for your review. It was a pleasure hosting your visit and I'm glad that you liked our breakfast of mango and goatcheese enchiladas. When you next come to visit, we'll have to try the Barelas Coffee House-style red chili and chicken mole enchiladas or, if you prefer, Belgian waffles with a yeast-based battere made with almond milk.... The only legitimate reason for not staying here would be if they are fully booked. Otherwise it will always be our first choice when we return to the area. We highly recommend the Mount Cobble master bedroom suite. Breakfast is a delicious, culinary adventure and Carlos is a gem of a host. The other reviews have captured much of what... More

My wife and I stayed at Journey's End over Christmas while visiting her family in the Berkshires. The lodge itself is spectacular, not like any log construction that I've ever seen. Not a nail to be seen, nor any electrical or plumbing visible to the naked eye. Great high ceilings and great views of the surrounding area. Our hosts, Carlos... More

My husband and I stayed at New Journey's End, over Christmas while visiting family in the Berkshires and we were thrilled with it. The building itself is awe inspiring...truly a sight to behold. The rooms are as comfortable as the lodge is majestic. Each room has it's own thermostat which is something you don't usually find at a B+B. Carlos... More

Williamstown, MA is perfectly situated to allow you to visit so many other sites. In the short time I was there I was able to visit Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. The lodge was a great place to return to each evening. It is warm, cozy, and truly a home away from home. Starting out your day at the... More

Our first impression on arrival was that the architectural presence of the place is stunning. We were greeted by our hosts who then lead us on a tour, helped us find excellent food nearby, (there is an organic co-op/cafe right down the road as well,) and when we returned from dinner, we were given free range of the lodge, and... Our small group rode motorcycles to Williamstown and stayed at Journey's End Lodge. I awoke and opened the curtain to a jaw-dropping gorgeous Autumn morning view - a valley with a few houses and some fog in front of an Autumn-colored mountainside, with a mix of dense clouds and dark blue skies. Simply breathtaking. After a delicious breakfast, Carlos led... More
