The house was probably built in the 1920s. There are several period pieces in the parlor and the dining room. With lots of stained wood trim and painted wood floors, one could easily imagine themselves doing the Charleston by the console Victrola in the parlor.
The owners do not live on property; and we happened to be the only guests the night we stayed. It was a bit odd essentially having the run of someone else's house (though the kitchen is off-limits).
One room upstairs has its own bath (we stayed in this room). The bath is in a former closet, and only has a small shower. The other two rooms upstairs share a larger bath (with tub). I suppose we could have also used that shared bath; but we didn't. There is a common room upstairs with a TV in it.
The location leaves a little to be desired. It is right next door to a large public school complex (administration building, elementary and high school buildings); and right across the street from a church. It...
