I was staying in one of the filthiest Extended Stay Americas in Sterling Heights Mi and had to move to another in Dearborn, Mi. I had made my reservation on Friday to check in on Monday. When I arrived at 3pm my room was not ready and was told that I could come back in an hour. There was a...

I work on the road and I have stayed at a number of extended stay hotels. This one has a great location and affordable rates, but the building is run down, the rooms are dirty, the walls are paper thin, the wifi is the slowest I've ever seen and most of the people at the front desk are rude and/...

I was on a long business trip and I had initially booked in for 2 months and my need was a decent room to sleep over at night.
I was warned against taking up a room here, but took up this place since all the others rooms in this budget was not available elsewhere.
First the goods.
The location is...

Get ready to keep the heater/AC turned on all the time, 'cause that's what it took for me to get any sleep at all. Both nights of my stay there were loud parties in adjacent rooms and (seemingly) spilling out into the halls. Management was either oblivious or unwilling to control the noise. It reminded me of living in my...

Everything was fine with this hotel other than a noise in the heating unit which was bothersome. This and other hotels should have a thermostat with a temperature rating so you can set your preferred temperature (rather than just a blue/red indicator) and have some blankets to save energy.
Nice that this place is near the Ford Mansion and the...

I would definitely recommend this hotel, except to people who want something posh.
I just like a clean and safe place to stay and that's what I got. I was in town to attend a wedding. The room's only flaw was that the threshold to the bathroom needs a small repair. It has a small lobby. The bed spreads were...

I went to Dearborn for long term and was looking for cheapest long term hotel. Extended stay is the best choice looking at price. Location is quite good considering fairlane mall is nearby. Over weekends it helped us a lot. We used to visit mall and theatre nearby frequently.
Apart from location and cost, nothing was great. Housekeeping is once...

This Extended Stay America was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting much worse but the rooms were large, clean and come with a kitchenette. I got it on priceline for $32 a night for a 2 star hotel so I can't complain! Internet is only 4.99 for the entire stay which is great. Staff was average. They don't clean your...
